@sonnenberg: thanks paul -- for many many years i've been fascinated with the work of gurdieff/ouspensky, and the musical collaboration of gurdjieff/dehartmann, and gurdjieff's idea of objective music. the tunes have a mysterious (transcendent) quality to them, and it's quite a body of work amassed over a relatively short period of time.
