  • Siiiiick! Nice work, very quick and responsive.

  • Hallo,

  • Hey visit us at AndroidCarForums . com (remove spaces) Feel free to post your product there. I am spreading the word trying to get people there.

  • @dan20112005

You have a neat site there with lots of useful information. Good work! Feel free to link our video if you wish.

  • Would this work with this combo..Head unit: KW-NT50HDT Phone: HTC EVO3d Custom Rom If so what would I need?

  • @1fastmx5

Most headunits are compatible, and we are currently trying to support HTC devices. Rooting the device should enable support though. We cant confirm until we have the device in hand.

  • I am fully "rooted". I am still struggling to understand how this stuff connects. I would need an screen overlay even though my head unit is a touch screen? If not how would this board connect to my Head unit?

  • @1fastmx5

If your headunit already has a touchscreen overlay then you will be able to use it provided its a 4-wire like 99% of them. You device needs some kind of video output such as HDMI or TVOut, then you will need to convert the video output to a format thats' compatible with the headunit. e.g. HDMI to composite converter.

  • @customGadz Yes most of the latest Phones have a MHL-HDMI output. From

there I will need a digital to analog converter, HDMI to

Composite, thus connecting Composite video input of the Head

Unit. What I am not clear is how this 4pin connector get's connected to a

head unit. Does this mean I need to open-up the head-unit to install? I am not sure how difficult it is to actually access a stereo head units screen. Do you have a video of you guys actually installing on a digitized head-unit?

  • @1fastmx5

Yes, some modification of the headunit is required to enable the remote touch capability. If you have a look at our website there is some documentation on the iPhone version which is the same setup at the Android system. This should give you more insight on how the system actually works.

  • @SolidIncMedia

We haven't tested the Samsung galaxy S1 yet, but quite sure it will work. As a prerequisite the device needs some kind of display mirroring either HDMI out or TV Out.

  • This is very interesting. I have a Samsung Galaxy S 1 which supports video out via a 3.5mm -> RCA cable. Would a system like this work, or does it require something with a HDMI port, such as my Acer Iconia A500 (with a mini-HDMI port built in)?

  • Hi me, im very interested on it, mine is a Moto Atrix is there some way to conect my phone with a VIR-7870nrbt soundstream?

  • @tonyvmu

Motorola atrix requires custon ROM (Photon Alien) to enable full true mirroring. Webtop is not display mirroring. This system can be adapted to any 4-wire touchscreen headunit with an AUX video input.

  • can you do this for a pioneer sph da 01 ???

  • @vloran07

Not at the moment with this particular headunit. I can already see a few modifications that needs to be made. We really need to have the headunit in hand to be able to confirm if it can be supported.

  • @customGadz

thanks very much, there is display out but don't work with ios 5 ( only under 4.3.2) and of course, it's just display, not "mirror" control from the unit...

    thanks anyway waiting for news

  • @vloran07

DisplayOut works with iOS5 and gives you full mirroring. The only thing that does'nt work yet with iOS5 is SBRotator, but will work soon though..

  • this is sweet, so if we were to have a lilliput with the built in touchscreen we wouldnt need to purchase overlay? and it would be compatible with remote touch by plugging it in to your interface?

    would you sell to USA?

  • @typerod

Yes you are correct. The overlay is only required if your monitor does'nt have a existing touchscreen.

    We ship worldwide.

  • Sweet. Thanks for replying. I was really excited about this when I first heard about iPhone support. I was ecstatic when I heard you were developing the tech for android.

  • Btw, does the switch adapter control the touch panel or the screen inputs, or both?

  • I am seriously considering your product. I currently have an evo 4g running cm7. No problems there. I just need to know which switch adapter to get. A or B. I am looking at Lilliput screens but am open to other options.

  • @nightwinn

Most lilliput 7" screens use the type "A" connection and the 8" use type "B" connection. Once you have the monitor its not to hard to find out. If you monitor doesnt have a touchscreen you can always buy one of our touch screen overlays.

  • hi, i'm planning on getting a single din unit, i saw your product and immediately i'm very intrigued, i currently have a lg optimus 2x gingerbread with micro hdmi plug, how should i proceed from this, would i be able to get any aftermarket single din with screen?

  • @miracle03

Currently "LG" devices are not supported with this system. "LG" devices do not have the appropriate Bluetooth Profile support. Although the new ICS (Ice cream Sandwitch) update might enable compatibility.

  • @customGadz would it help if i was running another modified version of the firmware? what profile exactly do you need?

  • @miracle03

Changing firmware in the module will not enable support. If you are willing to install a custom ROM you might get it working, but we cant guarantee perfect compatibility.

  • @customGadz i'm already running a custom rom, cyanogen, what exactly is the bluetooth profile you need? if you tell me i could look it up.

  • @miracle03

OK, what you can do is connect your device to external monitor and ensure that you can mirror your device properly (fullscreen) in landscape without any crashing issues. If this works well try to pair up a WiiMote, if you can do both of these then you should be OK. Still, we can't gurantee optimal operation until we test the device ourselves.

  • @customGadz i used wiimotecontroller to connect, button data were polled and leds are set, all 10 buttons are detected, both press and release action. power button stops the polling process.

connecting to a hdtv with hdmi works flawlessly, playback in landscape mode shudders but that's a known issue.

  • @miracle03

Looks like it might work, again we would need the actual device to do our tests on it and tweak the firmware to suit.

  • @customGadz where are you guys located?

  • @miracle03

    Australia

  • The "switcher adapter" allows you use your touchscreen to control your phone or your OEM/car-pc system. You can select which system requires touchscreen use on the fly.
