Who says tenants are not responsible for controlling roaches in their apartment? Yes, the Landlord has some responsibility but roach infestations may not be the Landlord's fault. There is absolutely no reason on the part of the tenant to live like this and let the roaches take over. We all have a responsibility to keep our own place clean and there are things we can do ourselves to prevent roaches from even inhabiting our apartments. This is so appalling.

Well, this is pretty insane...

I live in an apartment building, where individual exterminations are impossible. When we had a problem (thankfully, they have done multiple exterminations and there hasn't been a roach around in years) for under $20, I got bleach, tons of caulk, a caulk gun, bait, boric acid and duct tape. Hardly ever saw any (couldn't quite get them ALL by just doing my own apartment), and none EVER, EVER got into either my clothes or my food (duct tape!!!).

Yeah people stop caring about things and this is what happens. They reproduce super fast so if you dont get on top of things they will get on top of you!.  Yes we did save this account, the tennants were thrown out on other reasons, and i went back in and cleaned the rest out. After this spray there wasnt that much left!
