But as good as the KISS show is it just is not the same without Ace and Peter. That kind of chemistry cannot be bought -- like the Beatles of Zep.

Not true. The Beatles fired their original drummer and Zeppelin got rid of JPJ, too. So, those two bands are no different than KISS. Even Ron Wood isn't an original Rolling Stone. Brian Johnson replaced Bon Scott. Etc. The show was just as good as the days of Peter and ACE. IT ROCKED!! Good tunes are good tunes.

How can you still be a band without the people that made the band. You may say, "I still see the cosmonaut, and feline man." but even if the new guys try real hard, they will still play differently than the original members. There is a reason KISS isn't "the greatest band in the world" anymore.

Don't say they are...KISS is rarely on the radio, tv, or cereal boxes anymore..if at all.

I saw the original line up at Western Springs in Auckland, NZ in 1979. Their show was just as outrageous back then from a blood splattered fire breathing Gene Simmons to Ace's guitar catching fire and shooting rockets.

I've been lucky enough to see Kiss with both Ace & Tommy,& yes Tommy is technically a better player.But he's still only playing what Ace wrote! What is neglected is Paul's guitar-playing.He seemed to concentrate a lot more when he was playing with Bruce,& just before they put the make-up back on his playing was great (see MTV Unplugged).Now he just throws his arm around & shakes his ass.A lot.

Actually, it's pretty amazing that they can still sell out big arenas and stadiums in many markets. This is a band that everyone wrote off as a gimmic that won't last when they started. Now, they've lost two original members, haven't released new material in decades, and look at the crowds. Yeah, they won't sell out in the States. --Neither do many old bands that were once huge. Times change, tastes change. Nothing wrong with playing casinos in between tours to stay "in shape" either.
