I don't think that's the original bolt on it either, but i found a record player just like this in my parents basement with the original box, any idea what year it is?
That Small Little Box?.. Oh man! So many neat memories came to me. Sani Claus brought it to me back in the early 70's. My Folks had those big old furnitures type record players( those that had a tv intergrates on the side) . And i remember loving to but on records. So i wanted "my own Record player". And i got it!! Actually i still remember the tunes on the little records. They were: The Alphabet Land (abc's) , another little record included The Numbers. Thanks kjigmond. I was 7, Now i'm 49!!!
The tiny player is amazing but that miniature record is too. How come your record changer doesn't go to automatic cycle with that tiny song end diameter !
Tnanks for showing us these little wonders of the record collecting kingdom :)
@kjigmond these changers are known to have the cam ware throw and jam that's why the automatic was removed just need the gear-cam you could try V.M. site thay have lots of phono parts
@kjigmond did you put the carnival back together it is a neat player you can just put a long screw in the arm ware you cut off the handle and it should work or file flat and super glue it that plastic will hold great with supper glue LOL
Really a beautiful little phonograph. What I find funny though is that if you actually skip rope with this record on, won't it skip, skip, skip, skip, skip...? Ha! Thanks for the video, really great!
Hey coondog, sorry I seemed to have missed your earlier questions. It wouldn't fit a 45 unless I cut the sides open. The motor has no syncronisation so it could go about any speed you want.
dont worry about it dude, and you would have to basically cut the thing apart and remove the battery case from the unit, as for the speed if you can find a power supply that can adjust power from 1.5 volts to say .5, .6 volts and all the way up to 1.5 volts, hell even a half dead D cell might work, and i have an electric train transformer actually 2 of em but they have between 3 volts all the way up to 17 volts and that would make this player behave like its had too much coffee lol
I use to have one of those when I was a kid, I bought it used & had to fix it, Think thats small search google for the Mighty Tiny toy record player, I'm still trying to find one. There was another "pocket" record player about the size of a persons hand that came out in the late 60's early 70's I saw on ebay but I can't remember what the name was.
WOOOOW! That is simply AWESOME!! Soo cool! I wasn't expecting the size, then...WHEW! SMALL! One battery, mechanical speaker, LITTLE record!! Then it's played on the full machine, WOW! Good quality recording on the record!
Wow...Thats really cool. Sad to see you cut it up for the other vids. Its funny, I assumed it was recorded in the 'funny' voice on purpose, until you put it on your hifi :) Too Cool.
kjigmond do you think its possible to slow down this player electrically so it plays slower or it it of such a simple design that the only speed it has is the one in the video, and it sounds much better on your hi fi
i know exactly what you talking about. itz like your technics linear-tracking tt in a way, but a lofi kiddie version and it only plays 45s. i want one of those players too.
These are players I've owned or seen at others houses since I was a kid. The difference between this and a See 'n Say is, a S 'n S has a governor, so it actually works. Sorry Miguel, but this one's already been scrapped. I got mad at the speed wobble then Mr. Make It Worse visited. Now I'm looking at everything in the house like parts...
I have been looking for one of the records for this, "The Courtesy Song".......anyone have it?

I think the regular record player was playing it just a tad bit slow.

Thank God that thing can't play 12" records. I'd kill anyone who tried to play my copy of Machine Head on something the likes of THAT.
