  • Okay okay, I hear it!

  • what song is this?

  • @mcheesey sunny

  • Thank you, Tony Monaco (b3tonymonaco), GOD of jazz and of the Hammond B3 - I can't bow deeply enough before you. Thanks. And thanks for your reply. The video is no harm, with your explanation, to salvage a reputation that didn't need salvage: Harvey Mason - a GOD beyond compare. Thanks again Tony.

  • the riff at 3 min just goes on waaay too long LMAO!

  • @NitroAndDeathMetal Almost a full minute! lmao

  • COOL THANX.are those 9 chords in the at the begining?please help.

  • @diagreen It is Am7 moving chromatichly to C7/9

  • @constoura im pretty sure its just octaves. dont you hear the wes in that.

  • @MikeHawkOwns I think diagreen asked for the chords that repsonde to the melody, and not the melody itself ,which is octaves.

  • @diagreen octaves

  • Hey all and fellow lovers of both Mr. Martino and Mr. Mason. Let me help you all with the truth of what was going on here. This concert was the last of a 10 day Japan/Indonesia tour with the three of us and we were hot and ready to record this show. The opening act before us went way over time and we were rushed through an incomplete line check due to the huge mobb waiting for our show and rushed to start. We could'nt hear ourselves & the bounce back was loader than us! This should be removed!

  • I read the comments before watching the video and was inclined to dismiss the critical comments, but, as much as I love Pat, this performance is really missing a groove.

This tempo is not right - Pat always plays this song faster. Pat was rushing all the time, but my guess is that he was probably hoping that Harvey Mason would listen and follow his lead to pick up the tempo. Being the studio musician that he is, Harvey was just keeping perfect time - not always the most musical thing to do.

  • Shut up nitpicker, you couldn't do better and if can than your an egotistical asshole who should respect his elders.

  • Nice, I guess, but what's with the 3 choruses of repeating the same 3 note phrase (with many, many dead-string mis-strikes)? And at least twice Pat gets way, way out of sync and ahead of the beat. I love Pat's playing, but this is definitely not one of his best performances.

  • @dtetreault You play ahead or behind at times for spice, the spice of life. That 3 note repeating phrase was as interesting as whole solos by some other cats. It's just what Pat does, it's his thing. You can as-well be pissed off at bird for doing some licks at times you din't want him to. It's improv man - life in the moment.

    Best,

    BP

  • wow - great! I saw them at the Iridium last July and this brings back fond memories!!

  • KOMEN YG BAGUSAN KEK.....

  • pat came to my school and did a master class. amazing player and a great guy too.

  • yeah right indonesia. awesome isnt it

  • java ? is this in indonesia?

  • Old famous easy piece. Freddie Hubbard´s "Red clay" is almost the same...

  • Pat's an icon!

  • Come on folks, let's show respect for this guy. He's my favorite Jazz Guitarist.

5 stars and best wishes to you and your loved ones too Mr. Martino!

  • nice..

  • I think the version of Sunny with Pat and Joey and Sco.... was just so top notch. every rendition other than that is just not as exciting.

  • yay you rock pat!
