When your brain cools down, it stops working. You would have the wherewithal to pull your pants down before you pee, let alone set your car on fire.

@Jellolion1 That's kind of a tough question for me, because in my experience, people will just assume you're on drugs if you are uncharacteristically behaving, even if it's something as simple as having a bad day. I honestly don't think anyone would be able to notice even a close family member having a drug habit of any sort, unless that family member has had experiences with it him or herself first hand. I know whenever they spend money over say $20. A drug habit isnt just a one day thing. It would be a continuous pattern over a long period of time. For the same reasons the US army gave methamphetamine to its troops in combat, it helps you keep your edge and avoid fatigue. I'm sure law enforcement and 911 operators/dispatchers felt bad they couldn't get help to them, but when they went to where the young couple thought they were and couldn't find them, but they kept insisting that's where they were what more could they do?

@Jellolion1 That's kind of a tough question for me, because in my experience, people will just assume you're on drugs if you are uncharacteristically behaving, even if it's something as simple as having a bad day. I honestly don't think anyone would be able to notice even a close family member having a drug habit of any sort, unless that family member has had experiences with it him or herself first hand. Bah, i'd explain more but only so many characters allowed in the comments.

I know whenever they spend money over say $20. A drug habit isnt just a one day thing. It would be a continuous pattern over a long period of time. I think meth addiction would be very hard to hide from any parent that at least made some effort to be involved with their childrens lives.

Methamphetamine does not cause hallucinations, nor does it incapacitate your ability to think and reason.It actually increases your ability to stay aware.The symptoms displayed are from hypothermia.

Respond to this video...and yes, methamphetamine would have helped them in this situation. For the same reasons the US army gave methamphetamine to its troops in combat, it helps you keep your edge and avoid fatigue. The detrimental effects come from long term addictions, desensitization and increasing dosage sizes, and from the strain on the body and mind from the effects of not sleeping for long periods of time. These are medical facts. Sorry rednecks if you cannot accept them.

Thanks for posting this. I have used it in community Meth awareness. I think this is a sad, sad situation. I'm sure law enforcement and 911 operators/dispatchers felt bad they couldn't get help to them, but when they went to where the young couple thought they were and couldn't find them, but they kept insisting that's where they were what more could they do?
These two were obviously messed up by the Meth, some could be the hypothermia setting in, but that doesn't explain it all.

This is why hypothermia is so deadly. It sneaks up on you, and then you become completely incapacitated. People have died of hypothermia with plenty of warm clothing in their backpacks. @crazzer123 . Smoke is a cancerous bi-product of burning tobacco and weed, and is likely to cause cancer. Weed itself is not harmful, but anything you smoke irritates the mouth, throat and lungs. Statistics say you are more likely to die from cigarettes, but thats only because weed smokers usually don't volunteer their information, so there isn't enough info.

@crazzer123 unless YOUR dealer also has connections with coke and meth dealers and buyers and you get stuck hanging around waiting for your bag of weed. Then ...well there you are. sitting there in a garage or whatever, with other freaks waiting for THEIR score. Then some coke user waddles in with some stolen jewelry to trade, or the like. And you're still sitting there, waiting for your weed. Somebody (or the cops) pulls their gun..it's not fun. cigarettes stink too.

@crazzer123 yeah,. you're right. I don't think I've actually been in a blizzard. Someone told me about getting lost in the snow ( sober ) really scary she said. She walked and walked until she hit a fence then, followed it along to a barn or something. But she was dressed for the weather. Like getting drunk and swimming. Hard enough straight.
