  • i love love love this reel ryan! you r soooo talented!!!

  • ryan = genuine american style

  • i guess tap dance is a good exercise

  • For some reason this makes me thing of a song from the movie "White Christmas". Danny Kaye preforms it and it's called "Choreography". It most likely reminds me of this song because of the line "Chaps who did taps, aren't taping anymore they're doing choreography".

  • What is the song playing douring this? i really wanna know

  • Mr. Success By. Frank Sinatra

  • He's a classic entertainer. Such a fantastic personality. Already won in my book.

  • Ryan, I love you! Thank you for inspiring a whole new generation of dancers. You inspire me to pick up my dancing shoes again too. Break a leg this season...I' m voting for you!!

  • This guy is like my hero! I have a lot to learn in tap and he inspires me to keep going :]. Go ryan :]

  • I'm refusing to watch sytycd season 6 if Ryan doesn't make it through. I simply don't have the time to waste if I'm not going to want to root for a dancer in the style I like. I'll gladly let the grad work slide if I get to watch the occasional tap dance, Fosse number, or jazz hands though.

  • Is there the full dance of the two guys on the stage somewhere on youtube (like at around 1:10)? I'd love to see that piece!

  • Love to watch these talented guys!!!

Ryan, Evan, and who's the third one?

  • dope!

  • GENIUS

  • You are BRILLIANTLY amazing and I love you!!

    <3

  • not to mention you are an amazing choreographer again and sound cliche but the way this was edited to one song and made all the moves go right with the music was just as amazing... PROPS to the editor!!!

  • LOOOOOVE IT! ALL OF IT!

  • OH MY GOSH!!

Seeing this reel is just amazing to me. You have really led quite the choreographing career thus far Ryan and I think it's absolutely incredible. So you think you can dance has to let you choreograph!! :D

  • i agree. i would LOVE to see you choreograph something for the show! im so excited to see you in parallel exits this fall (hopefully!)

  • What's a parallel exit?

  • Ryan!

You should become one of the choreographers for the show!!! WHY HAVEN'T THEY HIRED YOU YET?!?!!?!?

  • Comment removed

  • They should hire him to choreograph, it would be really cool to see some classic broadway jazz/tap on the show.

  • Would love it if Ryan became a permanent choreographer/judge/member of So You Think You Can Dance! I'd 100 times more enjoy watching his contributions than any the show's current cast and/or Paula Abdul, etc., etc.

  • I know, he's so creative. If he didn't get through for season 6, the producers of the show should pick him up for some of his awesome choreography, honestly! He's such a teacher and creator, he has passion and we all love him, I see ratings getting higherr lol.

  • babyinblack, The last I heard, Ryan has already been asked to compete in season 6, so I expect we can enjoy his dancing then unless Nigen, et al., change their minds because Ryan already has a solid block of fans who'll vote for him regardless of whether the judges criticize him, as they consistently & unfairly did to Evan in season 5. Regardless of whether Ryan is a contestant, he'd be a huge asset & draw for the show if he were added as a choreographer/judge.

  • I do fear the same exact thing, factfinder4.

They might be really really harsh on Ryan and maybe will have preconceieved negative ideas on Ryan based on what they think of Evan. He might get ripped apart by the judges the same way Evan did. For example, Ryan knows tons about Fosse right, he's even been in a Fosse type show, he probably would have killedd that fosse routine. But would the judges admit to that if he did a fosse style routine? If Ryan didn't get in, I'll be really upset.

  • Most of the judges' area is modern dance they want the winner to be that genre, so they criticized Evan & would do the same to Gene Kelly, Astaire or Bob Fosse. Evan danced the other styles far better than the other dancers danced his; & contrary to what the judges said, he was excellent in each. Plus his "Broadway" dancing is far more pleasurable & fun than a dancer leaping & twisting his/her body about, even if that body's nice. That gets boring, but Ryan & Evan are great to see over & over.

  • An interesting point of view you have there. I do think that Evan's dancing was much better than the judges made it out to be. And some of the contestants didn't do well in broadway numbers. My other idea was always that since Evan doesn't have that perfect body, and since the judges are used to seeing people like Brandon and Ade dance, they judge on what body looks better dancing. Evan did give it his all, but maybe it didn't appear as good to them because he didn't look like the others.

  • Hey Amazing Ryan,

Please clear this up for me once and for all. Time Steps start on 8, right? Not 1. You wouldn't believe the arguements I have gotten into over this one!

BTW, I wish you were my brother. You and Evan were the best part of auditions and I am voting for him as much as possible. Your Musical Theatre Girl, Lauren.

  • It depends on which time step you are doing and whether or not you have a pickup.

  • The Kasprzak brothers are AMAZING. Ryan better try out for SYTYCD again next year!!

  • I simply adore him.

  • i hope they ask him to choreograph for sytycd and get rid of that schmuck tyce. go ryan!

  • Sweet Lord,What a wonderful dancer you are Ryan!----and what a great choreographer, Fosse would be proud!!

  • If we live in a just universe, SYTYCD will be tapping you for choreography this season and every one thereafter.

  • Forget about bald and short.. you looked HOT doing the west life story routine in vegas week!!

You're a TRUE talent. I'm glad you auditioned for sytycd, cause we got to know you!! <3

  • i really really wish ryan made it to the top 20...

    i did a workshop with him for 5678 ..

he is amazing and so funny..

  • Marry Me? Before I saw your brothers audition last year and yours this year I thought the classic Kelly style of dancing (and tap in general) was gone forever. You guys are bringing the old charm and sophistication of the 40's and 50's to a brand new generation- while retaining your creativity and while continuing to push the standards of athleticism and art that dance has become since. I'd like to think the greats would be proud. ;)

  • I posted this on your audition but wanted to put it here too. My two year old son is now in love with that rountine and I have already seen it at least 50 times. Thank goodness for DVR. He also now insists on wearing his sister's outgrown tap shoes and dancing to it. Thanks Ryan for making a little guy see how cool tap is. My kids love that show and like to do most of the routines and this one is now a fave of his. Before it is even over he says Again. Take a look at my videos for my wee dancers

  • You remind me so much of Kelley and Astaire and all those great old MGM musicals. I can't wait to show your videos to my friends. I especially love your schitck. I took a class on the style of clown this past year and think that you would have a ball with something like that. Your natural style of innocence and comedy in your schtick would lend itself real well to clown!

  • Ryan, you're brilliant and I love your choreograhphy. Your solo shtick is cute but you definitely don't always need it for your solo performances. You are a dancer, an artist, not a clown! Using humour in your choreo is great but I see you as a choreographer and a dancer first and foremost.

  • (This was a reply to someone else btw, who basically said your shtick would be good for a clown sort of thing, i was just saying that i think you don't need the props you use in your solos all the time and that you're a wonderful choreographer, artist, and dancer... yeah just wanted to ensure that is what i meant, and that i never viewed what you do as clownish or anything, someone else brought that up first. :)

  • Ryan I friggin LOVE you and now I want to tap dance with a whoopie cushion! Kill it in Vegas, I'm rooting for you and your brother!

  • loved it! thanks for continuing the timeless charisma and amazing creativity coined by greats like Gene Kelly and Astaire ... glad to know there are others in today's modern world who still appreciate such classic times! great work :)
