God I love that car! I want a Falcon real bad. But Ford, in their infinite wisdom, won't bring them to the US. That is bad marketing. This car would sell like crazy in the States. Why not look at the american 5.4Lt Supercharged V8 ? Why not look at the XR6 Turbo (4 litre turbo charged). What about the F6 Typhoon FG with 310kws from a 4litre engine.

165kws for a car made in Australia in 1994 is very good. But the Australian car industry has come far since then. Specially since the BA/BFs. 270kws from the BF XR8 in a 5litre. 290kws from the BF GT in a 5.4 litre. now the FG 315kws from a 5.4litre.

I would be embarrased to drive a 2litre car, sounds like a chick's car to me

But why not compare to a FG XR6 Turbo, or F6 Typhoon? Thats right, the turbo falcons would pimp slap your 180sxs to the curb.

Back to the V8s. I Think the FG XR8 does about 315kws (up from 270 from the BA's). The F6 typhoon is 310kws but its about 1.5secs faster 1/4mile.

Ford Australia make big cars, big engines, loads of power, loads of space.

(These are generalisations). Nissans will generally out corner the Falcons, but the Falcons will have the straight line speed generally.
