well, indeed young Mr. Stipe looks as after usage of some refreshments, but it had to be really fun show. ..On the DVD is "Can´t get there from here" and it was sang very lively, but still it was probably from more acceptable part of evening :-). Amazing singer by the way.

They did covers of songs they really liked, both because they genereally liked the songs, and to add a bit of variety to their shows; the fact that most of these covers never appeared on any of their albums -- I think their version of "King of the Road" was the only cover to actually make it onto an album, wasn't it? -- attests to this.
