I played in the Symphony for 1000 Drums at Ft. Collins , CO . El-Dabh was there , babbling as usual ... but the drumming was a blast ! I still do not know what 'ol El-DABH was yakking about .... msde no sense at all !
This man is a true teacher.He walked across Africa palying drums with each tribe he met along the way He's played with Olatunji,Zakir Hussein,Mickey Hart and thousands of others..I have met him many times and he is the sweetest,most genuine and fascinating person I ever met.A genuine ELDER,and certainly a Shaman.Bless his soul!
