@Markle6 What a sexist thing to say. The difference these days is that women can get away with it, while if men said something like that they'd have all the ugly feminists on the planet chasing them with pitchforks and torches.
I am highly fascinated by the intelligence of parrots and I cannot thank you enough Dr. Pepperberg for all your years of hard work and perseverance in the face of such difficulty towards conducting your research with ALEX. The research which has been published shows with validity that we cannot deny animals of the rights we allow ourselves to take for granted. Dr. Pepperberg you have really helped to renew my faith in the sciences and as well as change my perspective forever. THANK YOU
Dr. Pepperberg, did you go through school with Michele Flicker, MD, Ph. D.? Or do you know of her? She went to MIT and Welsley about the same time as you, and taught at Harvard during graduate school.
It is incomprehensible that a bird can think in words. It is eerie, they have a brain somewhat like us,,,,,,,,,intelligence and personality. It makes you wonder if they are little humans in a bird's body.
eugh, turn " cool science with parrots" into another feminist piece:P

@deemuun We need MORE FEMALES in science, so they can explain to the pig headed males that NOT everything can be explained w/ the mind.
