Guys, the dog knows whats right and whats wrong, she chases my horse all the time, she wont come too close. and when jumping she generally gets out of the way. for the years weve had her shes only had 3-4 incidents...

i have the same thing with my trainer's puppy. a ranch dog will get out of the way if they know what's good for them. the thing is, the puppy only chases MY horse for some reason.

Why not? one of our dogs is always in the areana when we are jumping. If the horse takes off after a fall the dogs herd them up or makes sure you are ok! There is nothing wrong with thsi

Because the dog could get trodden on! Im guessing most ponies are used to it but even so, its very dangerous, the horse may not mean it but if a horse spooked and took off, a dog may not be able to move out the way quick enough!

I think that the dogs should be trained to stay out of the arena or tied up. That could be a serious problem for you the horse or the dog. It could even be fatal. =) Cute horse! ;)
