Not one of the PPL cognoscenti, but this sounds more like Craig Fuller than Vince Gill. Guitar break reminds me a little of Eric Shenkman, who came way later.

it's Larry Goshorn not Gill or Fuller. Gill wasn't in PPL until the Goshorn's left the band.Fuller was arrested for draft evasion in 1973, which is when the Goshorn's joined the band.
