Was it originally a 5 string banjo and you changed the neck? Or, was it always a 6 string banjo, and you put a smooth fretboard on it? Is the fretboard stainless steel?
Thanks bro... sort of a regular banjo. Actually it is a German made "guitar-banjo". I would say the body is a regular banjo, but the neck and head are like a guitar. I picked it up in Nevada City CA ten years ago when on holiday - and converted it right there :-)
That's a pretty cool poor-man's sarod. For 35 bucks, you killed. Nicely done.

This was sort of a banjo/guitar I picked up for $35, and slapped on a piece of sheet-metal.
