Yeh, very strange road position. You'd act defensively and stay in the middle of the lane to prevent someone from attempting an overtake when they shouldn't be. The exception is when slowing down to make a left turn on a main road.

I didn't realise that looking down at the road to make sure the tarmac hadn't run out was called a lifesaver...
