weird.... I have never had that problem and I see amphipods everywhere in my reef! I even see some living under my zoas, but nothing like this has ever happened. I've had my eagle eye zoas for months and months now and they just keep growing lol.
No - no solution. Just live with it - save a little frag (place it where they can't reach it easily) if you really fear the worst.
These btches ate almost all of my yellow polyps - some are still hanging but I think that each night they are fading away, one by one. What I can tell you - these amphipods like new fresh small polyps - those went away first.
