People don't get that the new GT5 game will have NASCAR,weather moving and cheering people and it will have day and night and you can design your driver probably. I saying that the people who are saying bad words on this game hasen really played the game.

Have you even played GT5 Prologue yet, or any GT game for that matter? Granted, I haven't played this demo yet so I'm not sure that this is the case or not, but I know they'll implement the full button remapping in the full retail version.

@nataslider GT5 chase cam sucks period. I know people will love interior camera, but that still doesn't give then an excuse to make chase cam crappy. No game beats PGR4s chase camera in my opinion.

@Mysteltainne just start slowly on the grass and then go slowly up in speed. try to use the R2 for throttle so you can adjust your throttle. otherwise your just burning rubber on the grass, which doesnt give alot of speed..

I'm a huge fan ever since GT1. I have been to many track days, & I drag race. I am currently ranked 10th in the (US) @ 1:36.6 & I find it near impossible to ketch the car on a pitch back, It's a little to hard to correct once ur sideways with the wheel at least. I've never driven a 370 yet, but I did take out a 350 & with in ten mins I was driving it like I'd been driving it for years. I don't necessarily think it's the physics directly, I think it's the ratio of the wheel vs the cars behavior.
I think it would be easier to catch with better Force feedback for those with a steering wheel controller The game doesn't seem to do a good job of relaying shifting of the car weight. Maybe one day the game will come out as well.

I downloaded the demo with great expectation. I played it and I was quite disappointed with the demo. For one, there was no damage model as promised, at least for the 350Z model. Two, shadow in the cockpit was very pixelated with a clock that reads 5:35 at all time. Three, 1080p for the price of relatively low resolution textures. The environment seems dull. Could there be some birds, plane, moving clouds, winder advisor, etc. Control, car model, track, and physics are pretty dead on.
@kkra3: I hear ya, I'm not buying this game if this is all there is to it. I'm loving my NFS Shift, I think it its way more entertaining than GT5 thus far. Thumbs up.
@HighRum13: I guess we waited to long for this game. My anticipation ran out. Polyphony stress about realism, but the demo looks unrefine. Peer like NFS or Grid etc has damage model, tire skid marks, environment damage model that GT5 didn't offer. The only selling pt is the # of cars, 600+, and most of them are junks that are too slow to entertain. Polyphony took 4 yrs & $60 million to do what we see in the demo, disappointed. I agree w/ you with NFS Shift.
@kkra3 why do you think this is only 200mb and polyphony has a hole blu-ray disc available. of course it looks worse than other games. its just a mini-game to show the steering of the full game, not the graphics. its not a REAL demo of the full game, just a little christmas challenge..

@kkra3 the demo is just 200mb man give it a break. the demo isnt even a demo it just shows off the physics only! the graphics were downgraded because of the small size and so were the environments. this demo was released only for GT academy so people would make a fast lap and go race in a real circuit not to show off the final product this is no where close to the final product

This game is quality if you like proper driving sims. However if you're not use to playing with the settings on professional you'll find the demo difficult. Practice makes perfect and all that.
yeah i felt it that way. I was used to play more arcade style racers, like Dirt 2 and NFS shift and this was really hard to keep the car on the track the first day or so. I was used to just floor the throtle right after breaking into a corner, but when i did it here my car just went everywhere but the track it self. First i was like "FUCK GT5! IT'S SH*T" and then when i got better controlling the throttle it's actually a lot of fun :)
i just download this a few hours ago and yes it is hard to control at first, wish i had a steering wheel to play with but the good thing is that it feels more real than any other racing game out there

The is all about physics. It's not about graphics, trees, damages, etc. It's just to show you how improved they did with the physics. I am very impressed how much realism they added with the physics I also like how they did with the breaks and the e-breaks!

no he probado aun la demo, pero si visualmente no mejora y el nivel jugable no es tan bueno como dicen que va a ser, Need for Speed Shift creo que a dia de hoy es el mejor juego de simulacion de carreras, con amplisimas posibilidades de configurar la conduccion de nuestro vehiculo y una sensacion de velocidad perfecta, además se nota de maravilla el peso que tiene cada vehiculo, cambiando asi su comportamiento dependiendo del coche que escojamos... a ver cmo acaba siend la vrsion final de GT5

@Mysteltainne just start slowly on the grass and then go slowly up in speed. try to use the R2 for throttle so you can adjust your throttle. otherwise your just burning rubber on the grass, which doesnt give alot of speed..

I'm a huge fan ever since GT1. I have been to many track days, & I drag race. I am currently ranked 10th in the (US) @ 1:36.6 & I find it near impossible to ketch the car on a pitch back, It's a little to hard to correct once ur sideways with the wheel at least. I've never driven a 370 yet, but I did take out a 350 & with in ten mins I was driving it like I'd been driving it for years. I don't necessarily think it's the physics directly, I think it's the ratio of the wheel vs the cars behavior.

I think it would be easier to catch with better Force feedback for those with a steering wheel controller The game doesn't seem to do a good job of relaying shifting of the car weight. Maybe one day the game will come out as well.

I love the gameplay. It easily beats stupid arcade games - trying to be simulation games - like grid.
Games like Gran turismo and F1 2006/CE is what racing games are all about for me.
The more you play on this demo.. the more enjoyable it is.

dude its not a demo think bk to tokyo gameshow how can that demo look far superior to this christmas challenge if this was meant to be a final demo? ur forgetting the size of this online competition challenge pack is only 290 megabytes and the tokyo gameshow demo was nearly 8gig in size and looked graphically superior to forza3 fact! for an online competition challenge thats not much bigger than a Minis game on psp

I downloaded the demo with great expectation. I played it and I was quite disappointed with the demo. For one, there was no damage model as promised, at least for the 350Z model. Two, shadow in the cockpit was very pixelated with a clock that reads 5:35 at all time. Three, 1080p for the price of relatively low resolution textures. The environment seems dull. Could there be some birds, plane, moving clouds, winder advisor, etc. Control, car model, track, and physics are pretty dead on.

@HighRum13: I guess we waited to long for this game. My anticipation ran out. Polyphony stress about realism, but the demo looks unrefine. Peer like NFS or Grid etc has damage model, tire skid marks, environment damage model that GT5 didn't offer. The only selling pt is the # of cars, 600+, and most of them are junks that are too slow to entertain. Polyphony took 4 yrs & $60 million to do what we see in the demo, disappointed. I agree w/ you with NFS Shift.

i personally dont find nfs fun because the graphics for a sim isnt very good its stupid how you powerslide every corner in that game even if you got stability control on and just the feel of it and not even 100 cars damage is pathetic its glitchy/bugs sometimes at the start of the race the girl with the flag is standing inside the car and thats just a few..

@kkra3 the demo is just 200mb man give it a break. the demo isnt even a demo it just shows off the physics only! the graphics were downgraded because of the small size and so were the environments. this demo was released only for GT academy so people would make a fast lap and go race in a real circuit not to show off the final product this is no where close to the final product

This game is quality if you like proper driving sims. However if you're not use to playing with the settings on professional you'll find the demo difficult. Practice makes perfect and all that.

yeah i felt it that way. I was used to play more arcade style racers, like Dirt 2 and NFS shift and this was really hard to keep the car on the track the first day or so. I was used to just floor the throtle right after breaking into a corner, but when i did it here my car just went everywhere but the track it self. First i was like "FUCK GT5! IT'S SH*T" and then when i got better controlling the throttle it's actually a lot of fun :)

The is all about physics. It's not about graphics, trees, damages, etc. It's just to show you how improved they did with the physics. I am very impressed how much realism they added with the physics I also like how they did with the breaks and the e-breaks!

This is not a demo for GT5. only GT Academy, and it was only to show off the new physics engine. Look at Tokyo from TGS.. those graphics are just nuts!
