  • @louise0610lulu Who are you to say this beautiful and extremely talented young woman is ugly! She has it all..... beauty, fame, talent, and support of millions of people. Who are you to day that she's ugly?! That's not a legitimate opinion because everyone in the world is beautiful! Ever heard of natural beauty? She's got it!

  • Japs!

    Don't keep pushing 'spam'

  • many japs don't know about some facts

    1 Yuna Kim's 3Lz-3T(base point 10.0) is more difficult jump than Mao Asada's 3A-2T(point 9.5)

2 Yuna Kim had her clean performance but Mao ASADA missed her 3F(downgraded) and 3T(jumped 1T)

3 everyone(except japs) especially many famous figure skating stars like Kristi Yamaguchi Katarina Witt Scott Hamilton and Jacques Rogge IOC president praised YUNA KIM's performance. even plushenko spoke highly of her performance on today's interview

  • Olympic Champion Yuna Kim

    Go Queen Yuna

    Love you forever

  • Yuna

  • the girls outfit at : 52 was cute1!!

  • Why is Sasha Cohen in this? She did not make the olympic team.

  • wow that 1st girl is extremely gorgeous!!

  • @pinkcherries65555

    sasha cohen

  • KIM

  • uhmm just sayin but wasn't even in Vancouver. cohen

  • I was there! Well the short program at least, :)

  • ...yuna kim....she is just magic on ice

  • AMAZING¡¡¡

  • @stirrednotshaken7

    its kim yuna, just saying

  • I guess those earring boosted her performance? LOL !

    Who cares.

  • Ladies figure skating was better than Men's. Yuna surely deserved gold, she skated great. (I don't like her boring programs, though.)

On the other hand, I found a lot of questionable material in Men figure skating. Daisuke didn't deserve bronz (though I liked his performance). Johnny Weir should've been bronz and Evgeni Plushenko should've been gold, with fair judging. The scoring system is crazy, of course, and the biggest problem is ISU takes control of the competitions.

  • what are talking about?

maybe did downgrade yuna's any 3T should be downgrade all the ladies second jump

  • Congratulations, Yuna. You became the Olympic Champion!!!!! Yuna is truly something special. Most skaters just use the music as background. But Yuna is really different. She skates to music!!!

  • @danbioz

Absolutely true. The sight of the American warships on their shores scared them. So they decided to adopt western technology readily.

Before than Japan was always the poorest in east Asia. I noticed too many Japanese trolls on Youtube or Chinese pretending to be Japanese or Korean to inflame each other.

  • briefly speeking, 3t-3t is higher than 3a-2t. So if Mao angry with it, she'd better do it. Why she don't it? Why she have got a speed? Why her jumps have so low quality? GOE is given the high quality of jumps. Choreography? where was choreography in Mao's pro? She had omitted some part of it after TEB. And did it too after ROS. Look at the people's words who specialists in figure skate and non specialists. That is answer. They said same words.. yuna deserved gold.

  • @D8island1 You have no imagination.

Are you always calculatig ISU points? It makes a muff of yourself. :D

  • Oh, another Hwabyung. I'm scared.

  • Comment removed

  • I don't know where you come from but I might have double size of your's , you ahole

  • TO JE LEPO PREDSTAVLJENO....

  • danbioz, I knew about her wrong edge and new judjing system. I want say if the sports itself is limited and gets boring.

I don't like play style of Arakawa as Kim, because she addicted to get elements points for the hunt for a medal. Kim and Arakawa are birds of a feather.

Every player has a different skating style and I disagree with textbook skating.

Pls tell me why Yuna does not try 3A? She's never done. Textbook skating style is like reading a college textbook. No attractive play.

  • @lonmay She had a back injury at age 15 and it stayed with her until she got totally injury free in 2009. Orser decided 3A practice would aggravate her back so she did not get there. But before that, she is said to land grand 3A several times during the practice with Orser.

  • Oh, I almost forgot. She is planning to challenge 3A since she gets better and the stressful Oly ends. I am so excited to see her massive 3A next season!!!

  • Me? Japanese? HAHA! I'm not. I wish I were Japanese. I'm learning in Japan on an exchange program. Do you not like Japan? I love Japanese people. Some people are really shy and sometimes it's annoying to see but they are sweet.

Don't take my words wrong! I love Mao but I didn't think Mao was better. Yuna did the best performance so she deserved gold. It was wonderful!

  • I'm not kidding. Sorry if I made you misunderstood. I've seen Yuna's performances many times, and I know her skating skill is great. She surely deserved gold. I feel sorry for Yuna because many fans of other skaters doubt about her super high score but she just skated really well. It's the ISU that has some problems so Evgeni Pulushenko is angry.

  • Yuna is the best now because of the crazy scoring system and ISU. They've changed rules again and again to make it hard for Europian and Japanese skaters to win. If it weren't for that scoring system, it might've been really hard for Yuna to win gold.

  • Ummmm are you kidding me? Are you blaming the scoring system? Have you seen the performance? I don't know what you're talking about, but if you saw the actual performances then there would be nothing to dispute. And even if it was on the scoring system It'd be comparable to a grade curve, so Yu-na would've taken the gold either way.

  • nice try miss "i am so clearly a japanese"

Mao made 2 big mistakes on her jump in the FS

Yuna made NONE, a perfect program

the base points for the two is nearly the same

    OF COURSE YUNA WINS

    whether old system or not

    JEEZ

  • @KalenandAlice Did you know that? Mao Asada's 3A wasn't downgraded because of the crazy judging system and ISU at the Olympics. Mao Asada's 3A had to be downgraded at the Olympics!!!!!!

  • why there's Fumie Suguri in this video? she never appeared...

i really liked Akiko Suzuki's joyful skating tho she was 8th place...:)

  • Honestly, what is with Japanese people on youtube? They're so mean and racist to other countries saying that they are the best, and they discriminate so much. Like a hardcore fan who is willing to do anything. And when korea wins, all the japanese people on youtube start their non-factual comments and even start anti korean groups. What IS WITH THEM? In all my time on youtube I've seen more japanese hating on koreans than the other way around. + Chinese netizens also join with Japanese as well.

  • I understand what you mean. I'm starting to think that most Japanese on youtube are the ones that are NEETs or shut ins that have too much time on their hands.

I'm quite sure that most people on youtube don't really give a damn about which country is better or what not. Plus, it's a game, entertainment. People are supposed to have fun.

I think the Japanese born away from all the hating, like myself, are MUCH more open minded. But that's just on personal experience.

  • Yuna has a similarity with 2Ne1's Dara Park... at some point, the two things they also have in common is i love them both! =) Queen Yu-Na FIGHTING!

  • Joannie Rochette should be 5th place!

    Her score was toooo high!!!!

She was not beautiful and not good technically !

I feel sorry to her because she lost her mother but SHE SHOULD NOT HAVE BRONZE MEDAL !!!!!

Miki Ando, and Mirai Nagasu were much much better than Joannie Rochette!

    Joannie's skating were NOT beautiful!

    Judge should be fair!

  • Congrats to Yuna for winning Gold. I'm happy that Japan managed to get silver.

Although I just want to know how Yuna got a higher score than Plushenko's (sp?) scores. I just find having my favorite male skater's score beaten by a performance that could of done a little better a little more than satisfactory. Unless women are scored differently than men. Which I would find quite stupid.

    So can someone clarify?

  • i will clarify, Yuna's SP is not higher than plushenko's

    get your facts straight

    Yuna 78.5

    Plushenko 90.85

are you blind or can you not read numbers?

  • Thank you for the clarification.

However, I would advise you to simply answer the question instead of ridiculing my mislead information. I asked for clarification because I doubted the info I had.

Please think before typing. Or to at least put thought in on the question and words used.

  • yeah i did put a lot of thought before bothering to answer your question, because of the way you worded your question, it is clear that your intention was to start up a "controversy" regarding Yuna's high score.

First of all you are a Japanese who obviously favors Asada Mao

and Secondly there is currently a BIG FUSS in the Japanese media about how Mao was ROBBED

then you probably saw some LYING japanese Hikikomori post the GOE that yuna got compared to other skaters

  • So it all boil downs to the fact that

    1. you like Asada Mao

    2. you are sad that she had not won gold

    3. you saw some posts that is misguiding

    4. you want to believe that there is some controversy

    5. you pose a question and try to be as "neutral" as possible

    6. but people who have a keen sense like me can see right through you.

that is the end of the story

  • 1. Wrong, I like Itou Midori much better. But that's irrelevant.

    2. Japan sucked this year. So I really don't care if they lost, at least Canada won a lot of golds so I'm happy.

    3. Yes I saw lots of posts that were mixed. That's why I was wondering why people are saying such things.

    4. When it comes to Japan vs Asia there is most likely controversy. That's a given.

    5. Isn't that just your interpretation? I had no intent to start controversy. Especially on the internet, that's much too childish.

  • Comment removed

  • you obviously have very poor reading comprehension don't you??

my point was that your a japanese so you obviously favor the japanese sktaters over other races

    Isn't Midori a japanese?????

    hello?????

you only "act" like you have good manner

cuz your a japanese and need to show "tatemae" and hide your "hon ne"

  • Comment removed

  • false pretense is so immersed in your culture that its a natural reflex for japanese to do so

and whether you want to accept that or not is not my problem

why don't you ask your own self and find out the answer?

how many times you've suppressed the urge to show the "true" feelings to others?

  • Comment removed

  • i never blew my lid kiddo lol

it's rather a sarcastic or even patronizing statement

not a anger rant shouting lol

    don't fool yourself

  • It doesn't change the fact that you could have answered politely, or ignored my comment.

English as you have already pointed out isn't my first language. So there would be choppy bits here and there. Sorry for trying to learn a language.

  • you see what you are saying now just proves the point that i have brought up about the Japanese culture to put up a "tatemae"

your every comment is so FIXATED on "manners" and "politeness"

have i ever in my comments referred to the fact that i was NOT rude?

no i believe my first response to you was in no way "polite" but that is not the point of contention!! you see the difference?

  • Comment removed

  • i'm not stereotyping you without reason

because i have deduced from what you have said in your first question by logically working out the "choice of words" you have used to express yourself

If i was to stereotype you, i should say something along the lines of

Your japanese, you like sushi and manga

  • Comment removed

  • actually the opposite is true. i teach english, to what little knowledge that i have, and find that you are competent enough to understand not only the grammatical structure of english and its use, but also the contextual meaning and the different variations within the laguage.

the first point is proven by the few grammatical errors you commit in writing your opinions, and the second point is proven by seeing that you somewhat understand what i am conveying to you.

  • My agenda is to find your "true motives" on your comments

while your agenda is to keep the "politeness" and also expecting the same from the other person, which is of course, me in this case.

  • Comment removed

  • its tatemae because there is another truth behind it buddy! why can't you understand that?

as i have said the common sense to be polite is JUST being polite without any pretence : That's common sense

but your first Question about plushenko's score and Yuna, had a hidden agenda which i saw through and exposed by answering your question

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • i never said it was less pleasant or more pleasant

and my sarcastic response is also partly

    because of the outrageous comments

alot of the japanese hikikomoris make here in youtube against Yuna(which is really against korea)

and i'm not saying it's a one way stree where the japanese are at fault because there is equal amount of hate expressed by koreans toward japan as well.

but nontheless, this specific instance was about Yuna kim and the Olympics so this is why things turned out

  • Comment removed

  • judgeing purely by the comments you have made, i would not label you as a hikkikomori nor do i feel ill against you

i do not have anything against races, its the ugly "state of mind" of people that gets me

  • Oh. You should have just phrased it like that. I had no 'ugly state of mind' that you say. I'm sorry if my comments made you think that. I apologize.

I feel embarrassed by this arguement, so I'm going to delete my comments. I don't think people would like to see a whole conversation when they want to see normal comments.

  • feel free to do whatever you find appropriate

personally, i find your apology to be unnecessary because i do not feel offended and don't feel the need to delete anything because ppl can read it or not at their own expense. adios then

  • and no, i do not believe that whatever

reasoning that my brain can construe is the ABSOLUTE TRUTH, but from what I have experienced from life through society and understanding the human nature, comparing myself and others by circumstantial evidence and pure abstract reasoning, i believe that I have "some" knowledge to what the reality is

  • hidden truth is just a abstract way of describing you subconcious/concious motives

    that is human psychology,

    and yes

    since people use words/language to

    express their thoughts/feelings

then it is possible to deduce logically

what your intentions from reading your comments

  • Comment removed

  • i never specifically pointed out what your intention was,

the point was to prove that your first comment was tatemae

  • Comment removed

  • well quite a few things,

first i can tell that typical of east asian individuals, you find what others think of you as being important and i am not saying that being asian is what wholly determines this, there could be many factors, your age, personality, etc.

i find that you feel the need to prove something to be true and become very agitated when things that you feel is not true is being stated or accepted as such.

  • But don't people generally feel agitated or annoyed if they are told that they are something they're not?

The part with other's views is dead on, but I feel that most people feel that way...

All this looks and sounds like a horoscope.

  • i wasn't talking about you being misrepresentated but just anything is general

    like if someone says

    1+1=4

you would be the type to say

    No its not!

and then have to convince that person what the truth is.

  • Oh, I understand now. I think.

I'm still sure that someone would try to fix the error. I mean, it's kind of bad if you didn't...

Anyways, I'll think about this is try to get something from it.

  • your right nearly all human beings care about other's opinion about themselves but the difference is the

DEGREE to which this is true for a person

person A can feel relatively weakly about this issue bue person B can feel very emotionally involved in such a case.

  • and you being a japanese and obviously have been used to it's culture must embody the element of tatemae

    whether conciously or subconciously

i am not saying that you have this tatemae 24/7 and as generally a pretentious person

    BUT

what i can say for sure is that your first question that you wrote is an exhibition of tatemae

  • you obviously don't know yourself well enough, to know the psychology behind your character and personality..

well maybe when you get older and have a lot of time to "reflect" on yourself and try to be objective of your ego, then you will realize that even the little comments that we make as human beings tell big truths about the state of mind of ourselves

  • see as i have said: if your "true" motives were to find out whether plushenko had lower scores than Yuna

    1. you would have looked it up online(big hint: how about the official Vanc. Olypmics site??)

    2. since you wanted to believe there was something wrong with yuna's score you choose words like

"why is such and such "

instead a clear concientious person would have said

" is it true that such and such"

see if you can't see the difference between the two statements

  • epiphany님 대단;; ㅎ 저 일본애는 자기 글 대부분 지우고 도망간듯..;

  • please anyone!!!

whats the name of this girl (in the red dress)? 0:50

is she the one that cried?

  • rachel flatt

    and no she didn't cry

  • It's still funny Japanese press still won't admit Yuna is a better skater overall. Rather they're blaming the system and the judges. That's a shame. The sport is supposed to be fair to everybody and it ain't supposed to be a circus. If Japanese want to make their own rules, then please don't enter the Olympics and complain about it. What a shame. It's also Mao's reaction after the competition that was really disgusting.

  • yuna kim is winer... dont be jealous. fact is fact! ,,,, MAO is LOSER!!!!

  • Joannie is very courageous because her mother died.

  • Since 2008, Yuna have ruled Mao in every competiton both technically and artistically,,,

  • Figure skating is no longer a sport. It is just a dance show. Hog wash!

Textbook figure skater will a gold medal, and the next is the most athletic.

    Hog wash...

Figure skating should not be part of the olympics.

  • @lonmay

Cuz your Japanese skaters lost GOLD in the winter game ? lol

Do you know this ? Basically Mao's 3A and 2T jump(9.5) is easier level technique than Yuna's 3L and 3T jum(10.0), And do you know the reason Mao have to keep jumping 3A 3A 3A.... ?

It is because of her wrong edges in most of 3 jumps in new judging system, whereas Yuna is called a textbook of all 3 jumps. 1/2

  • @lonmay

This is why Mao have to stick to 3A jump, though even Mao knows 3A and 2T jump will give her lesser point than Yuna's 3L and 3T jump.

Now, can you still say that Figure skating should be nerf ? Hell, I Don't think so.

    2/2

  • agreed

  • Evgeni Viktorovich Plushenko and Mao Asada showed the most beautiful acting in the world and the highest technique in the world.

The most important thing to win in the Olympics was insufficient for Russia and Japan.

    It is power of politics.

  • iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii ddddddddddddddddddddddoooooooooooooooo nnnnnnnnoooooooooooooot lliiiikkke iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitttttttttttttttttttttt

  • Mao should´ve won. And Mirai Nagasu!

  • Psh, no chance. Kim Yuna just owns too much.

  • cum o cheama pe tipa asta de e pe primu loc aici in clipu asta ???

  • congratulations !!

    Yu na Kim win

    she is the best

  • Yu na Kim win I watch the olympic

    She is the most amazing

She got the highest score in figure skate

    On the last round

  • yeah. lol far hishest to the entire history of olympic skating. its as hight as impossible. like judge's leader was a korean.

  • It was a sympathy judgement. Rachael deserved to win.

  • As for Joannie, honestly, technically she didn't deserve to win bronze. The japanese-american girl, as well as the american girl deserved to have her place. Joannie made a fall and mistakes and technically didn't deserve it. But on the account that she's Canadian and that her mother died recently, gave her sympathy points, and we all knew that it was rigged when the last performer did better than her. Even though, I wouldn't dare to skate after my mom had died. Props to her.

  • Yuna's was close to nearly perfect, she even did a daring opening that could have cost her the routine (which she did flawlessly). Including the fact that korea looks up to her and that she's a celebrity, making it very important for her to win gold. Putting alot of stress on Yuna (which she said she wasn't having stress). As for Asada, all she really cared about was getting gold (As you seen on her expression) that and she's rivals with Kim Yuna. = Making her really sad.

  • Figure skating isnt what it used to be. All the programs look the same. Boring. Same spins same jump sequence same spirals zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • I think so. Somebody said it is just like Ice Dance. There is no challenge spirit.

  • DaTwilight, I disagree with you. Even the best of figure skaters in a competition is capable of messing up. Yu-Na won because she had 2 consecutive flawless performances. Winners of the SP in recent Olympics had flawless SP performances, but their LP performance told a different story. Sadly, this happened for American skaters, I wish the U.S. had more skaters like Kristi Yamaguchi and Tara Lipinski though.

  • THEY ARE ALL HOT!!

  • you have bad taste in women....... some are but all?

  • od im sorry i was judging them in doable standards

  • once again...... bad taste in women

  • south korea is amazingg

  • Kim Yu-Na was a joy to watch. But Asada was robbed of a medal. Skating on Olympic ice was a fitting tribute to Rochette's mother, but her inflated scores gave her a hollow victory.

The loss of a loved one is a personal and private matter, although the weeping and wailing sports commentators could seem to talk about nothing else.

Congratulations to the people of Korea and Japan for producing such outstanding athletes.

  • Caocao8888 - Asada won the silver medal. What do you mean?

Do you imply that Asada should've won the gold?

    Are you referring to Mirai?

  • Yes indeed. I was referring to Nagasu Mirai. Thank you!

  • Comment removed

  • how old does the skater must retire? just asking..

yuna deserves the gold medal. her performance is beyond compare from others so yeah.

  • Comment removed

  • @toshios2010

    I didn't know it was a "fight"?

This is not a fight between Korean and the Japanese. Yuna and Mao are friends and they visit each other too.

It's a friendly figure skating competition, and as far as I know, none of the judges are Korean or Japanese. We should be happy that the first two (gold and silver) were both Asians in the eyes of the world.
