They have scheduled Sigismondo for next year's Rossini Festival in Pesaro. Planning to be first in line for tickets - this clip has got my interest up big time. Though I have a feeling Barcelona is scheduled for it Ganassi does it for me - how happy could I be with either....

Did you get tickets? I'm seeing it on the 15th of August. You're right, Barcelona should be at least as good as Ganassi. And Olga Peretyatko will be surely marvellous as Aldimira, I've just heard her in Aix as Nightingale, she is a miracle of beauty in every sense.

Thank you very much for posting this rarity. It would not hurt to mention that the featured singers are ... Sonia Ganassi in the title role, Rossella Ragatzu as Aldimira, Bruno Lazzaretti as Ladislao. Richard Bonynge conducts the Orchestra del Conservatorio "Venezze" of Rovigo (Italy). The label Bongiovanni released this live recording on 2 CDs. :-)

Catching up! Thank you for more OI10! This is indeed one I am unlikely to ever see in performance--and this one appears to be terrific vocally.
