Yeah I didn't really like Freddy much in this film to be honest. It had a lot of potential I think, but it was such a let down :[ I mean this is what happens when you've been burned in real life, so it's pretty much spot on realistically which is what the Director obviously wanted to achieve. I think the new Jason film was crap as well. Not sure why these remakes are useless lmao

I actually saw this movie. I saw the original series and now this remake. To be honest, it really didn't capture the sense of the original series. It's one of those movies that uses sudden loud sounds to scare you. Out of 5 stars, I'd rate it a 1.5 overall. Effects were great, but Freddy's makeup wasn't as intimidating as the original. Would not see it again, but if I had to make a suggestion to the producers - I would suggest developing a stronger storyline before you release another.

Though there were a lot of good elements that had great potential in the movie, the storyline turned Freddy into "Chester the Child Molester", and to me - that really drew the movie down storyline-wise.
