  • @madjoe41,

    You are truly disgusting.

  • These pictures are in our reading books. Great Job, And i didn't know Natalie Portman played Anne.

  • i knew it ther r pictures of this in my textbook n i was like is that natalie portman so i looked it up

  • There r pics from this play in my lit textbook. Does anybody kno where I can watch it free online somewhere?

  • Just because she's Jewish doesn't mean she can pull off Anne Frank. But I still love her as an actress.

  • I was fortunate enough to see the play in person and Natalie really did glow: you could tell how important this part was to her.

  • anne frank died of TYPHUS and had a ball point pen from the future

  • She looks really sweet, but totally not like Anne Frank.

  • natalie portman? shes the same actor who plays padme amidala on star vwars

  • @RepublicOfficer,

Yep. The lovely Padme played Anne Frank.

  • she's a good drama actress..very talented

  • Its soo funny that Natalie Portman was the first time who i knew who she was when i saw the play of ANNE FRANK and my dad had me see movies of her back then.

  • She looks too old to play Anne Frank. I would have loved to seen this, though.

  • Terrific! Loved t pics..give a "taste" of the show. ( Yum!) I heard Ms. Portman's performance was searing and touching and SO real! HAS A VIDEO BEEN MADE OF THE STAGE-PLAY? It would be wondeful if people who want to could see it. Bd;way audiences are so small, & not everyone lives in NYC! (I was fortunate enuf 2 c "Camelot" w Richard Burton...but no video of that, either(?) Videos shud b made of B'dway shows...& released 10 years after t sho closes! PLEAS consider this. I USED 2 liv in NYC

  • Thanks! A video has not been made I don't think but if I find something I'll send it to you. I would love to see the play too. It was probably amazing. :D

  • sorry i have to say this, but with natalie it was just as it was with millie perkins who played anne frank in the movie version of "the diary of anne frank": they both don´t look AT ALL like anne frank! i defenitely prefer hannah taylor gordon in that role, she simply IS anne frank!!!

  • yes, but they're acting was good, I think thats an important thing, is getting the emotion out as the character. I agree somewhat with hannah taylor gordon looking the part and that anne frank series is my favorite they've ever made in terms of anne frank shows or movies. :D

  • i didn't see the natalie portman play but i'm sure she was really good. but i agree millie perkins was good but she didn't look a thing like anne and neither does natalie. hannah taylor gordon played her amazingly and it wasn't just because she looked like her!

  • agreed :D

  • same here , hannah just has the thin features , the smile , everything . i mean she doesnt look exactly like anne but she could be her double

  • The point of portraying Anne Frank shouldn't be about looking like her, but about being able to deliver a worthy performance that can touch every person in the audience. Natalie did a wonderful job, and is a brilliant actress.

  • someone know what is the name of this amazing song ? tanks

  • Its from alicia keys album as I am, its the intro to the cd.

  • i can't stop thinking of her as anne boleyn!!

  • i know she played the part really well, she was amazing in that wasn't she? If you like her, watch some of her other movies. they're good too :D

  • v for vendetta was absolutely amazing. i really suggest that you watch it.

  • agreed, defiantly one of my favs :D

  • i love natalie portman. she's such a great actress. you can tell she's a genuine person too.

  • yeah I love her too. She's really smart and just acts like a good person. :))

  • did they put the play on dvd if so why can,t

i find postings of it accpt by interviews

  • it was a play so you had to be there so I don't think you can find it on dvd but you can find the script probably online. Theres tons of movies/series of the diary of anne frank though not just this play. :)

  • you know she played as padme or something

  • padme amidala from star wars, yeah. :D
