Can anyone tell me more about the popularity of Cajun music in Malaysia? Is this a trend here, or is this an isolated type of concert in this area? I would love to find out more about how Malaysia receives Cajun and Zydeco. Email me Joe_080@yahoo.com
Thanks for the wonderful video! Anyone who likes this music, come to: Festivals Acadiens et Creoles in October (in Lafayette, Louisiana); Louisiana Folk Roots "Balfa Camp" in April (near Lafayette); and Augusta Heritage Cajun/Creole Week in July at Davis and Elkins College, West Virginia. Many, many fine musicians at these, including Balfa Toujours band members. Youtube videos are out there for all three.
I just love this group. I saw them at grassroots music festival in Trumansburg NY 2008 and was mesmerized . I love the whole thing- the off beat tick every now and then is great. Fantastic group and great history.
You go to your videos and choose that one and hit the edit button. Then you just add in any key words to the tag lines. That will take more people to your posting, which is a very good one!
You should add Dirk Powell and Christine Balfa to your tag lines so that more folks can find this. It's great music! I've seen them play at the Festival of American Fiddle Tunes in Washington State. This music grows on you.
You add tags by going to your youtube account, go to the video, and there you will see a field called Tags, with a box where you can enter them. In order for the words to be searched together, like "Dirk Powell", you have to put quotes around them. And while you're at it, you can add "Kevin Wimmer" and "Courtney Granger". Kevin plays the fiddle, Courtney plays the fiddle and sings.
