  • Seyh Nazim kibrisinin vesilesiyle bir cok insan hidayete ermistir, ama bu kadinli erkekli sema gösterisi de neyin nesi Allah askina, olacak is degil

  • Before structurate the islam, the Prophet of Allah (saw)were SUFI and had, in that time, 40 followers. You should study more "mishkat" and not be so radical !

    ALAH HU AKBAR

  • Salam, would it be possible for a student in sciences of religion to meet the Order and to have an interview with an authority on the meaning of the sacred dance? Can you help in arranging this meeting in the coming months?

  • Ok, who ordered the side of silly Wahabiyya perspective? You Wahabiyya are beginning to sound like caricatures of yourselves.

    Congratulations!

  • Wonderfully peaceful and entrancing...

  • I love the voice of this Sheik; I wish he'd come to Phoenix one day ;)

  • As Salaam Alaikum,

All Praise to Allah, His Peace on the Holy Prophet(S) May the Great Shaykh Nazim be preserved. May this message be received in the best of Health & Imaan. The recital of Qasida Burda is 1 of the most accepted forms of praise of the Holy Prophet Muhammad(S) across the world of his lovers.May Allah accept the week efforts of his lovers&accept us in his Divinely presence

Shaykh Nazim is a Great Nostalgic who inspires those around him to follow the Way of Syedina Rasulallah(S)

  • To those whom Allah did not guide to His Light: It is futile for you to write any negative comments, because it will be deleted and you will be blocked, so save your energy, don't waste it, and don't throw your waste on others...

  • @sufi92 Why delete? Welcome them and be kind rather than push them away to make them more angry and spread their negativity.

  • Hmmm... I wonder... Did the Holy Prophet used to... um..."whirl"...? I think...not. THE only universal prayer is salaah which, obviously, has had it's value thoroughly misunderstood and reduced. But if done right and perfected, honestly, all this whirling will give you not a fraction of what salaah can give. But, obviously, not having perfected salaah and therefore not having experienced the me'raj that is to be experienced by means of it, some of us have gone and tried out other means....

  • I think it's funny that people think that sufis replace the salaah with whirling, etc. Salaah is Salaah as passed down by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). This is a Dhikr, a means of further reching out to the Most Divine. Furthermore, we have in Hadith that upon seeing African muslims celebrate the Glory of Allah through dance in their own language and customs,Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) explained that this was completely acceptable since the Truth and Glory of Allah was in every culture.

  • The Prophet did not whirl, but the universe whirls arround prophet Muhammad (pbuh)

  • Could somebody, please tell me where I could buy a video or DVD about Dervish's whirl, but original from Turkey (Konja) Thak you.

  • Salah is a form of ibadat albeit fard, while whirling is a form of sunnah ibadat. One would then have completed the fard before any sunnah is done. Unless you have yourself have experienced the meraj you mention, there is no point arguing about it. If you have experienced it you would not mention it openly as it is a humbling experience being infront of Allah(swt) and such an experience would only be defiled by mentioning your experience of it

  • MashAllah Beautiful! I still don't think it's complete without the costumes lol only joking :P

When they do sufi whirling they cannot feel dizzy because when they whirl, they believe that their soul becomes their exterior and they focus on their lord, so feeling dizzy is a physical property, so it wouldn't apply to the whirling dervishes. Shaykh Nazim al Haqqani explains it all in his book :)

  • wow i feel dizzy watching this. I think it is quite normal for women to be in the same place. It depends which country it is.

  • naqshbandi are usually pro-silent zhikr, no?Maybe circumstances are different. Great music.

    Universal Vibrations baby!

  • iiiiiiii

  • The Ethiopians danced in front of the Messenger of Allah (s); dancing and saying [in their language], "Muhammad is a righteous servant." The Prophet (s) said, "What are they saying?" And they said, "'Muhammad is a righteous servant'" (Musnad al-Imam Ahmad. 6 vols. Cairo 1313/1895. Reprint. Beirut: Dar Sadir, n.d., 3.152) All the narrators are those of Bukhari except Hammad ibn Salama, who is one of the narrators of Muslim.

  • waqasahmedamin, thank you for your comment. and nice to read this. as an ethiopian muslim i am happy to read the comment

  • It's one thing to have video of an event that hasn't happened, Naqshbandi miracles never cease, but posting it seems risky....

Seriously... If getting dizzy promotes Islam, why are drugs forbidden? Dizzy faster and lasts longer... If smoking pot's wrong, what about cookies? Not used to "spinning" being a good thing.

Thanks for posting though. It's a good test to check whether we can see ladies moving like that and stay focused on their divine intent.

"To the pure, all things are pure..."

  • did they seem dizzy to you?

  • :-)

  • that was just amazing...

i love looking at these whirling dervishes the state they're in subhanaAllah especially when the one with the long beard raises his hands towards the sky when the salaat on the Prophet pbuh starts...

    subhanAllah

subhanAllah... there is a hadith in which a sahaba went in this state

  • Islamophobes (and others just as foolish) tend to believe that Islam spread by the sword! That's what they tell all those who are fool enuff to believe them... It didn't! Heheheh!!

It is the SUFIS who spread Islam (Indonesia, subsaharan Africa, Malaysia and China) and these fellas don't carry swords at all...

They carry songs and dances and before U know it, U are one of them!

    Heheheh!

Al7amdulillah, I was born a Muslim.. I only HOPE that I die as one! AMEN!

  • can some1 please tell me what is the purpose of whirling. please dont crucify me i am geniunly asking (i am not wahhabi scum!)

  • The whirling is a prayer during which the dervish's body can become open to receive the energy of God or Allah. For this to occur, the dervish attempts to be empty of ego or sense of self. Turning with one palm extended upward to receive and one palm extended downward to give, the dervish does not attempt to keep the power - the intention is to be a vessel. But it is a struggle to accept that we are only instruments of God.

  • Everything in the universe revolves - the planets around their Sun, the Earth on its axis, the protons, electrons and neutrons in our body. The Whirling Dervish aligns him or herself with that Universal Truth or Haq so that when the dervish turns, the universe opens.

  • with u on this one

  • Bida't. Astag'firulloh. La havla vala quvvata illa billahil aliyul aziym!

  • subhanallah

  • If yo pay attention, you would see that we are at an interfaith event visiting a yoga center in Canada. You don't expect us to tell our hosts to sort the men and women out. The intention of the event is to show build bridges with the non Muslims and show them the tolerance peace and love which is Islam. Don't you see that everyone in the gathering was saying La Ilaha Illalllah Muslims and Non Muslims

  • Why is there free mixing in Dhikr ??

  • have you ever been or seen the pilgrimage in mecca and medina shareef, would you question that mixing. In a state of purity there is no room for shaytan do u agree, i hope that has answered ur question.... p.s zikr is for the heart like water is for the fish.

  • You cannot comapre Hac(Mekke and Medina) with other places. They are exceptional places! How much you can trust your nefis(selfness) at the same room which full of women / men? How could you sure the other people's nefis be same level as you do?

  • They are exceptional places there is no doubt in that, but the nafs is within u no matter where u are the zikr silent or loud supresses the nafs, hearing and reciting the names of allaah makes the shaytan flee rendering him unable to fuel that nafs and hence purifying the darkness within, that is just the start, its wierd that all that is seen is men and women mixing and not the zikr bieng recited or heard, Isnt it beautiful. We cannot judge others that is our creator's job.
