@mistaxma more likely down to the fact the m3 has a close ratio 6 speed gearbox as standard. The z3m only got a standard 5 speed.

@monobrowguy more like US spec m3's don't have 6 speeds. unless these are euro cars. if they are then you are right and both cars have the same intake manifold.
