i remember when i was a kid in argentina they used to put dry ice over the ice-cream(with proper protection) to keep it cold. i always asked for some more because i loved playing with it

@plane1233 no the dry ices' temp does not radiate very far therefore the fridge senses internal conditions meaning someone would probably put it in the back and the fridge would shut off.

well he was meaning that when you put dry ice in the freezer, it makes the freezer think that its colder than it actually is because the dry ice cools down the built in thermometer so to compensate for this, it stops trying to make it cold and eventually it will get too hot and the food will go bad

@plane1233 no, the freezer will think that its too cold then it will automatically shut down,, freezers tend to shut down when its too cold,
