i was lucky enough to catch him at one of his new years eve concerts that he done every year at the Kings Hall in Belfast.... at the height of the troubles...one of the only human beings to bring together 2 peoples that hated each other and unite them for a brief moment. and boy did he kick ass! RIP my dear friend.

In 1975 or 6, I went to a ZZ Top show in K.C. A guy named Rory Gallagher opened. I didn't know who he was when I got there, but I sure as hell did when I left. ZZ was about the hottest band around at the time, and Rory blew them off the stage! I was lucky to see this guy, I'm a fan for life!
