Here is the question: What makes a country and a nationality?

@gkollias14 There is a WORLD of difference in saying that you are a Macedonian because you live in the region of Macedonia and saying that you have a connection with the ancient Macedonians. The people of the modern country of "Macedonia" are Slavs. They speak a Slavic language and have a Slavic culture. Slavs arrived in the Balkans int he 5th and 6th centuries A.D. Ancient Macedonians lived over 800 years earlier.

@Devoj4E : I will give you one answer and one question: There are numerous inscriptions and numerous archaeological discoverings in Greece. In all schools, including american international schools, Alexander the great is Greek and Macedonia is without any arguement a Greek state. The only thing that many countires have agreed to is to simply the name.
