    Comedic genius, bravo! :D

  • Dang!! even if you have no idea how to dance this music makes you dance!! I love it!!

  • The movie swing kids made me really interested in this music XD

  • @GHANSEYPHILAIDZ Thank you for this comment, ive never seen that movie until you mentioned it and i LOVE it now. Especially since ive been a fan of this era :]

  • This really should have been on the soundtrack to one of the Fallout games

  • makes me eargasm

  • This song is what an orgasm sounds like.

  • @MrFollf Strange, I always thought orgasms sounded like women screaming in joy. =P

  • What version is this? From which album? I seem to be unable to find one this great, they all seem to be lacking 'swing'.

  • @HardheadzNL i also can't find it, this version just swings

  • @HardheadzNL from the movie Swing Kids (1993)

  • The Artist!

  • MOLA!!!

  • this is the podcasts pottercast main theme and i love it and ive been trying to find it for ages but i finally found it!!!

  • Lady Gaga can suck it

  • @2010Kraftwerk I love you! (:

  • really? 11 people have NO taste in music whatsoever...

  • Muito bom!

  • I'm so young and I'm soooo mature cause I'm listening to soooo mature music, when my immature, young friends are listening to this newadays shit! Ooooh I'm so much better then they....

    Song is great, anyway.

  • @Szczerusiatko

Humans' illness began when we discovered the "me" thing.

  • @Szczerusiatko A little bit more mature minus the swearing that is involved in about every single song played today. ;)

  • i have to do a report on this guy and his music so this kinda helped

  • go overseas and die for your country. come home and play music like this. they really were the greatest generation.

  • @WindCarried How could they play if they died for their country?

    Sorry, just asking :P.

But seriously, they really were the greatest generation.

  • Thumbs up for the Simspons! This song appears in many times :)

  • Best song arrengement EVER!

  • Corrado Soprano music. :)

  • @Snookerfan75

It's not that bad man & just think of it this way, you are getting all bent out of shape & getting mad at a 13 year old who loves Jazz! Just chill out daddy-o....

  • @swampy1944 I agree with him, it's about as childish as those "99% of people would kill themselves in Hannah Montanna died", I also don't see why the top comment should be hating on other peoples music anyways... you're right its no biggie though, I mean... he is 13 after all -- that's why he says stupid sh.t. I'd say I'm more annoyed the people that liked that more than money1092's actually enjoyable comment.

  • It's annoying how younger people always have to write how young they're are but still listen to that kind of music.

Like, wooow look! I'm no more than 13 but I looove this music! What do these people try do prove here anyway? That they're special or s.th like that ?!

It doesn't mattter how old you are, just enjoy this awesome music ! :)

  • @snookerfan75 That's not a fair judgment. He's making the point that he can appreciate musical masterpieces that were created decades before his time, and these days, that's a rare thing that ought to be respected.

  • @tehjonbro Okay, I see it wasn't fair. And I do understand you're point at least I'm part of that minority as well, listening to that kind of music at an early age. And I make such music, too while playing in an orchestra.

But on the other hand I'm still a little bit of the opinion that it is not that important how old u are if u are listen to that kind of music. Just enjoy!

  • @snookerfan75 Yes, that's also true. And this is certainly a song worth listening to at any age.

  • Nabisco.

  • @xBASSBOOMx everytime i listen to this music, i remember that commercial too...mmmmm... cookies....chocolate chips....mmmmmmmmm....

  • great...i love it

  • Yesss!!! 1:31-2:08...favorite part of the song when we had a dance routine when i was a kid in band

  • Currently listening to this for my popular music class. I pretty much chose the best elective :)

  • It's funny but if you ask someone do they know this song or even who Benny was, they'd of course say who? what? but if you show them the song they always know it. :) That's just good music!

  • Is there a video version of this song with Gene's drum solo in it? The only version I found is a 5min version and his solo was cut out (!)

  • @msmonteith100 and 1 from the KKK lol

  • OMG! This. is. the. F**king. JAM!

  • Just Timeless!

  • Benny was one cool cat!!!

  • I don't let my children listen to Big Band and Orchestrated music, too much sax and violins. It can only lead to treble.

  • @moneymoneymoney1092 love it!

  • @moneymoneymoney1092 Hey now, that's a Base accusation. I'll have you know that Big Band music is a great way to see sharp. It's barbershop you gotta watch out for, them guys be flat.

  • @moneymoneymoney1092 That made me laugh hysterically and my mom thought I went crazy for second o_o

  • Very clever!! xD

  • It makes me wanna get my WWII uniform on and dance!

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOO I WANT TO BE BORN 1930S

  • @issenterprise1 You and me both buddy. The clothes they wore were BOSS

  • @TheDomtar so right

  • That's the real music!!!

  • To my taste, so fine here Gene Krupa, not too much fancy-ness, just giving such a good beating to the drums, as if there was no future. Fine, fine.

Very good sound, thanks for the upload.

  • Now would someone please tell me what to look up on iTunes to find this specific version of the song? I would very much appreciate it.

  • @monokurosora This is a modern recording made for the movie "Swing Kids". You could possibly find it under the soundtrack.

I highly reccomend the movie as well.

  • @inukirby992 I never said that this was the only song Benny played, nor did I even mention that he had just one masterpiece. I would just personally like to learn how to swing so I can dance with this song. It's a personal opinion.

  • love this song, try staying still while flowing this masterpeice into your ears.

  • Great drum in this one

  • so great, my mum brought me , up with swing, i was about 9 years okd , watched mum , listening to benny , big bands. jivving on the door knob. good times, then came me , into to beatles. but i can see how, it was good, people having bad time 39.. 45. well dress diva 2 wrong place, crank it up,

  • @eliasliveforever I'm older and the volume is louder ...

  • this is like that one song that my neighbors don't yell at me for playing it too loud

  • I'm thirteen, and I have to say, this is so much better than that crap all my friends are listening to.

  • @benrod178 kid,,, you got a good head on those shoulders

  • @benrod178 same here

  • @benrod178 You are a smart kid.

  • @benrod178 we don't give a fuck, sincerely

  • @benrod178 with a statement like that at the age of thirteen, you are destined to achieve great things

  • @benrod178 You sir is just full of win :D

I'm twelve and I'm entirely agreeing with you, good song true music.

  • @benrod178 You appear to be about 100x more eloquent than all your friends as well.

  • @benrod178 agreed

  • @benrod178: I am 300 years old and this is much better than that Mozart. He can buzzeth off.

  • @benrod178 Thank God I'm not the only teenager with taste left.

  • was just waiting for a shooby dooby doo wap

  • @joshmaday123 Wrong genre. In fact, wrong ERA. That was past the fourties. Benny Goodman played this in Carnegie Hall in 1938. You're looking for the fifties & on.

  • I'm thirteen and think this is great music since it doesn't involve love or people getting hurt.

  • I wanna learn the swing just to dance to this song right here. THIS SONG. :D

  • @monokurosora Erm, just saying, but this isn't the only song Benny played you know. It's not like the orchestra that invented every genre of modern music only had ONE masterpiece. 'Stompin' At The Savoy'.

  • @inukirby992 "Invented every genre of modern music" you say? Poor you. But being limited has its comforts I guess. Before Goodman, Dorsey (T Or J), Basie, Whiteman, Glenn Miller, Cab Calloway,.... there was a guy, 2 guys really (one named Strayhorn) and a great band that came around in the 1920s. You ever hear of "Duke" Ellington? Of course you have. Later, there were people who "invented" something called rock & roll. Goodman wasn't among them. Soul music. No Goodman there either.

  • Aged 15 and I would consider this real music, not that charts bullcrap.

Really makes you wanna dance eh?

  • first solo at 1:13

    second at 4:16

  • Comment removed

  • its so upbeat and rythmic it gets you moving , when will music like this come back ?

  • simpsons brought me here i have always this song since i herd it on the simpsons

  • @feefee198423 Mind linking me to that?

  • LOUDER! and it's not enough!!

  • Voltaire-Brains.

  • Awesume song

  • 'Swing' became the byword for this music, just like 'jazz' or 'rock'. But it truly was the forerunner to Rock 'n Roll. And not just in America...it hit Europe like a storm. Hey, the Beatles came out of Liverpool.

  • We should enjoy our life with sing sing sing!

I become so happy with this sound

  • GO MAN GO!

  • indeed sir!

  • @WellDressedDiva lol :P

  • can somebody give me a break down of which isntruments are being played in this piece please?! and at what time they come in? cause i love swing/big band pieces and am thinking of picking up a brass instrument but id like to know which parts they get to play in these kinds of pieces.. please can someone help me! =(((

  • @devoutxcynic

The best way to practice is to just play them all.

  • @devoutxcynic Just watch some videos (more than just a still shot of the orchestra).

  • I love swing music it makes you wanna dance and have fun

  • The Sopranos

  • no better music than this to get ur chears up

  • This is one of the best songs in history

  • Great tune BUT Duke Ellington had the greastest big band ever......and he was the REAL king of swing. not Benny Goodman. fact not opinion.

  • @saxappeal100

Fact? As if anyone could simply say that one musician is better than another. It's all subjective opinion when it comes to it, and that's why music continues to develop.

    ...

Though I also like Duke better XD.

    Still, this is amazing.

  • Girl's Ensemble sang this in eighth grade. :)

  • Gene Krupa was simply amazing~

  • I love this kind of music! It's fun and I love the odd stares I get from kids my age when I drive down the street blasting this. I honestly think of the Mask when I hear this song.

  • Walking while listening to this song makes you feel like a badass.

  • Is it me or all those who say that they found out about this song in Harry Potter or Simpsons or whatever look like idiots... It's like saying you found out about Michael Jackson or Elvis Presley from facebook when every1 posts RIP pics.

  • The one and only Gene Krupa on drums.

In 1933, Krupa first played with Benny Goodman. His tom-tom interludes on their hit "Sing, Sing, Sing" were the first extended drum solos to be recorded commercially.

In 1943, Krupa was arrested for possession of two marijuana cigarettes and was given a three-month jail sentence. fell into a depression for several months, believing his career to be over. Then, Goodman invited him to perform with his orchestra.... wiki

  • I found this song from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban movie....

    Love it so much <3

  • @splendorpoet It was in Harry Potter?

I'd have noticed. But still. Haha :P

    love this song <3

  • Manhattan Murder Mystery : )

  • Dude I was totally born in the RIGHT era....We got this, golden oldies, classic rock and metal, we got it all people! :D

  • 9 people completely failed at life.

  • @ArkaDirtbagger Well, I really wouldn't call them "people" per say.

  • Funny how jazz lives through the ages, yet the pop songs played on the radio now a days barely last a year....

  • Woohoo - CRANK UP THE VOLUME PEOPLE!!! Love this! I'm 43 and was born and have lived in the wrong era!

  • @WellDressedDiva you would probably wished living in europe during WW1 and 2?...

  • @WellDressedDiva I'm 21 and also was born and have lived in the wrong era! =)

    PAM

    ——————————————

  • How can you not love this song?!?!

  • are you ever gonna find this music again, is it ever in the minds of a latter day singer/songwriter to be able to put together the likes of this

  • Mr. Burns and Jackeline Bouvier

  • great for figure skating programe lol :))

  • Does anybody know where to find the sheet music for B flat clarinet or any instrument cuz its hard to find???

  • Sadly music like this does still exist, it just isn't popular anymore. Musical ability was stripped away by those who didn't have it a long time ago. The essence is still the same but people want simple, catchy, 3 minutes long with a pop idol attached. The music never died, you've just got to look hard for it but I guarantee you'll find it. Big band swing still lives... barely !! Oh and I meant sadly it isn't popular not that it still exists...

  • gotta believe 9 people hit the wrong button

  • Where did u get this exact recording?

  • 9 people obviously don't appreciate decent music.

  • I'm 12, and I just started playing the clarinet last year and I love it :D

  • Why don't they have music like this anymore?

  • @kugirocks I think the fact that we don't make music like this anymore makes these songs themselves that much more special.

  • @kugirocks Because now we have Lady Gaga!!!!LoL!!!!

  • This is the tightest piece of music you will ever hear this is out there and beyond

  • Can you dance to it jitterbug it

    My taught me

  • this is magnificent

  • Gets the blood pumping :)

  • @SemperFidelis52 yeah my bad

  • OK. This is standard take sessions.

It's cool & very balanced & more heartfelt music.

  • absolutely amazing. makes me smile every time i hear it!

  • If I'm not mistaken, this version is from the Swing Kids soundtrack, right?

  • @NorthWriter It is, a lot of people may say it's an original Benny Goodman tune, but it's not.

  • Fantastic

  • when i hear this song i want to dance best ever swing band no the count the duke were better but for 1938 benny was the best
