I'm so young and I'm soooo mature cause I'm listening to soooo mature music, when my immature, young friends are listening to this newadays shit! Ooooh I'm so much better then they....
I am glad to see how loads of teenagers like me loves this Music (yeah, the M is big) like me. Greetings from Italy, my dears ;D ( @benrod178 @cupcakies234 and all the others!)
It's not that bad man & just think of it this way, you are getting all bent out of shape & getting mad at a 13 year old who loves Jazz! Just chill out daddy-o....
@swampy1944 I agree with him, it's about as childish as those "99% of people would kill themselves in Hannah Montanna died", I also don't see why the top comment should be hating on other peoples music anyways... you're right its no biggie though, I mean... he is 13 after all -- that's why he says stupid sh.t. I'd say I'm more annoyed the people that liked that more than money1092's actually enjoyable comment.
It's annoying how younger people always have to write how young they're are but still listen to that kind of music.
Like, wooow look! I'm no more than 13 but I looove this music! What do these people try do prove here anyway? That they're special or s.th like that ?!
It doesn't mattter how old you are, just enjoy this awesome music ! :)
@snookerfan75 That's not a fair judgment. He's making the point that he can appreciate musical masterpieces that were created decades before his time, and these days, that's a rare thing that ought to be respected.
@tehjonbro Okay, I see it wasn't fair. And I do understand you're point at least I'm part of that minority as well, listening to that kind of music at an early age. And I make such music, too while playing in an orchestra.
But on the other hand I'm still a little bit of the opinion that it is not that important how old u are if u are listen to that kind of music. Just enjoy!
It's funny but if you ask someone do they know this song or even who Benny was, they'd of course say who? what? but if you show them the song they always know it. :) That's just good music!
@moneymoneymoney1092 Hey now, that's a Base accusation. I'll have you know that Big Band music is a great way to see sharp. It's barbershop you gotta watch out for, them guys be flat.
@inukirby992 I never said that this was the only song Benny played, nor did I even mention that he had just one masterpiece. I would just personally like to learn how to swing so I can dance with this song. It's a personal opinion.

@joshmaday123 Wrong genre. In fact, wrong ERA. That was past the fourties. Benny Goodman played this in Carnegie Hall in 1938. You're looking for the fifties & on.
@monokurosora Erm, just saying, but this isn't the only song Benny played you know. It's not like the orchestra that invented every genre of modern music only had ONE masterpiece. 'Stompin' At The Savoy'.
@inukirby992 "Invented every genre of modern music" you say? Poor you. But being limited has its comforts I guess. Before Goodman, Dorsey (T Or J), Basie, Whiteman, Glenn Miller, Cab Calloway,.... there was a guy, 2 guys really (one named Strayhorn) and a great band that came around in the 1920s. You ever hear of "Duke" Ellington? Of course you have. Later, there were people who "invented" something called rock & roll. Goodman wasn't among them. Soul music. No Goodman there either.
'Swing' became the byword for this music, just like 'jazz' or 'rock'. But it truly was the forerunner to Rock 'n Roll. And not just in America...it hit Europe like a storm. Hey, the Beatles came out of Liverpool.

In 1933, Krupa first played with Benny Goodman. His tom-tom interludes on their hit "Sing, Sing, Sing" were the first extended drum solos to be recorded commercially.
In 1943, Krupa was arrested for possession of two marijuana cigarettes and was given a three-month jail sentence. fell into a depression for several months, believing his career to be over. Then, Goodman invited him to perform with his orchestra.... wiki
Sadly music like this does still exist, it just isn't popular anymore. Musical ability was stripped away by those who didn't have it a long time ago. The essence is still the same but people want simple, catchy, 3 minutes long with a pop idol attached. The music never died, you've just got to look hard for it but I guarantee you'll find it. Big band swing still lives... barely !! Oh and I meant sadly it isn't popular not that it still exists...
