  • Oh Yeah! This video will help you with your jumping technique. It helped me with mine: Sierra (8) Learning How to Ollie Part 8

  • Don't worry. I started off like that too. What you should do to go higher is jump a bit higher, lift your back foot up higher and try to slide your front foot right after the pop lifts your board up higher. You have all the right motions and I believe you are cappable of landing an ollie.

P.S. I just learnt how to land an ollie propperly today after nearly 4 months of trying! ...and I'm a girl, too.

  • you dont jump high enough

  • Ur too heavy on ur feet. u gotta be light and jump like crazy after popping the board

  • where do you get your shoes?

    :]

  • haha i got these years ago, i think i either got them off of CCS magazine or at modells

  • jump forward a pull your legs up

  • jump like a mother fucker

  • magic is right. but it looks like your feet are to far forward.. your toes cannot hang over the side.. move them a bit back if they are..

  • you're right, it does look like it but i dont recall doing it

  • this happened with my switch ollies. your doing everything right, you just need to literally jump when you do it :).

  • alright thank you =]

  • getting back into skating? or just wanna remember how to ollie? lol i still remember =]

  • getting back =]

  • dont listen to anyone that said pop super hard! pop normally slide your foot up and jump up and bend your knees into you body and you will have good high ollies

  • thank you, thats what i thought was the problem in the beginning thanks for helping confirm =]

  • pop really hard but try doing the entire trick at one time in one motion

  • move your foot more foward pop as hard as you can and make sure to lift your back foot whille doing this but the key thing is to pop as hard as you can

  • move my foot more forward in sliding or in my foot position?

  • SQEAAAAAAAAAAAAAKK!!! cool vid my guitar-chick-friend. VACATION IS OVER!!! :(

  • haha thanks

    I KNOWW ='='='[[[[

  • also try to get really good at it without trucks then like he said do it while moving, when your beginning it can be a little scary but helps:)

  • thanks ill try taking out my old board w.o trucks =]

  • Ok well. Foot positioning, I recommend you move your front foot a tinyyy bit farther back. One problem you are having is you are slightly down hill and not moving. To really be able to ollie to your full potential you have to be moving. Your back foot doesn't just kick down either, you are supposed to push down and scrape the board back with your back foot. and bring it up and level it out with the front foot. I know this is a lot to explain like this llol.. Maybe I'll video response you :p

  • thank you ill try it out

and yeah a vid response would help :P or if you could show me how you do it

but moving as you could imagine for a beginner is a little scary. any ideas? or should i just suck it up and try it?

  • I know it's a bit dorky but... Knee pads will save you from a world of pain while you are learning.

  • this is true, gives you more confidence

  • when you get ready to jump your coming down alittle to far and because of that your not jumpin high enough watch alot of vids people doin ollies

  • thank you ill try bending a little less
