  • Ich weiss nicht, wer macht die Kamera bei diesen Videos? Hier nervt es schon nach der dritten Kurve. Viel zu eng, viel zu links. Völlig verschenkt. Es gibt tausend Beispiele, wie man eine Inboardkamera gut einstellt, hier hat es nicht gepasst. Schade! Das Auto ist geil, die Kamera nicht. Auch wenn das 5000 andere nicht merken ;))

    Da hast du allerdings recht. Aber die Kamera ist schlecht an der Heckscheibe zu befestigen, weil die sehr stark gewölbt ist. Mir ist die auch schon einige Male flöten gegangen, trotz gutem Saugnapf.

  • I still think that a 7:33 like the GT2`s lap time would have been possible with the ZR-1. I think that Sport Auto messed up the track time in the ZR-1. Even the 7:26 time achieved by Mero wasn`t a perfect driven lap, so I can`t understand the rather slow 7:38 time.

  • Z06 590 dyno hp, spoiler, recaro seats, everything else stock : BTG 7:48 with a lot traffic and not through Karussell, 2 Persons, no limit driving only 6500 shift rpm instead of possible 7000rpm

    7:30 BTG no problem according to the driver, I had a lot of fun yesterday as co driver! Impossible to describe how it feels to get pushed in your seat when passing compression at fuchsröhre with 280 km/h

    I expect the stock corvette z06 to run 7:35 full lap

  • No one has driven a Z06 in 280 km/h in Fuchsröhre! The lap record för the C6 Z06 is 7:42.9.

  • OK youre right I talked to the driver again it were 260 instead of 280on the spedometer so around 245 to 250 real speed

    It just happened that I talked to Sabine Schmitz a few weeks ago, and her speed record in Fuchsröhre is 278 km/h and her lap record is 7 min 07 sec for a FULL lap with her Fricadelli racing Porsche. By the way, Sabine also has a C6 Z06!

  • The ZR-1 is in the current Sport Auto mag. They only did a short test on the Hockenheimring. There it achieved a faster time than the GT2 and GTR with a lap time of 1:09,7. The GT2 did it in 1:10,0 and the GTR in 1:10,7. The Z06 managed a 1:11,5 time.

  • Regardless of who drives and under what format, the bottom line is WHO GAVE SPORTAUTO the distinction as being the only MAGAZINE allowed to post 'qualified' times on the Ring? For now, I don't care who drove...EVERY CAR SHOW, from London to New York talks about the ZR1's lap time being what it is...and never mentions the fact that its a GM lap time! A lap time is a lap time is a lap time! WTF cares who drove the car?

  • so, with that being said, which one is the more 'accurate?'...Either it's "GM Lied"...OR..."The drivers for SportAuto can't drive worth sh**"..and if GM did it from a standing start, why didn't Sportauto try and 'duplicate' the standing start? My only real question is..who gave Autosport the 'authority' as being the only ones responsible for legit lap times, when they're just a German Magazine?

  • And do you really think that if a 3rd party drove the ZR1 around the green hell, the lap time would be slower? I highly doubt it unless the driver they got couldn't go faster then the driver who drove the ZR1 for GM...

  • GTR is in the current Sport Auto Supertest. It lapped the ring in 7:38.

  • ich finde es weltklasse das die Z06 nur 1418 kg wiegt keiner in dieser klasse ist so leicht. Sie braucht kein 5 faches ESP oder 4 fach elektronisch geregelte dämpfer oder ne launch control. Das is alles für leute die nicht fahren können kein wunder das die europäische sportwagenelite immer schwerer wird.     nur bei regen sollte man vorsichtig machen was aber nicht am Auto sondern an den325 erWalzen hinten liegt

    Er ist außerdem einer der einzigen Sportwagen mit Runflats + großem Kofferaum!

    no doubt the GTR is a good car but it is not as exciting as a Corvette that can kill you

  • The fact of the matter is that the Z06 is lighter (3,120 punds vs 3,800 pounds), more powerfull (505hp vs 480hp), and apparently more aerodynamic.

    That rice-wagon GTR is more like a computer on wheels. Once you buy it you are stuck with the way it is. You can't even change out the exhaust without messing with the ECU.

    Regardless, both cars can easily beat other cars that are 3x their prices.

  • Where'd u get your info? The GT-R is grossly underrated from the factory. Motor trend recently dynoed a US spec model to the tune of about 507hp. Also, the GT-R's cd figure is .27 compared to .28 for a regular 'Vette and .34 for a Z06. The GT-R is more aerodynamic.

    Finally, in independent tests, Mines' titanium exhaust belted out an extra 27 hp by itself. No intake or ECU tuning. They just bolted on the exhaust and let it rip on the dyno. Check autoblogDOTcom for the full story.

  • Lets not forget that motor-trend also broke those corvette lap times by a few seconds with their joe-schmoe drivers on the same track with the same lay out using a stock z06. And the driver used for those tests is a certain someone with ties to nissan.

  • That heap of jap crap is performing on par with some of the best cars there are to buy. I wont say the GTRs better then the z06 (In the end im a z06 fan boy), but it certainly does give it a DAMN good run for its money. Its also safe to assume the Gtr will have a easier and cheaper potential versus the z06.

    Now what im really curious to see, is how it wil hold up over time. Will it be a one lap wonder? Or can it really duke it out for awhile.

  • Because companies are already producing simple kits for the car that bypasses nissans shinanigans, which as far as i know- is cheaper then any supercharger or turbo kit available for the z06. Granted the z06 can see some -awesome- gains with a good exhaust and a ecu tweak, the same goes much further on the gtr. Both cars are over built, but being factory twin turbo its much easier to cram power out of the car with a tweak and increased boost.

    (ftr, i Prefer the z06 for many many reasons)

  • Msrp is damn near the same, i believe its starting at 69k for the GTR, and 71k for the z06, So no.

    Not that you could buy a GTR at msrp, but that said youd be hard pressed to buy a z06 at msrp as well unless youre on the fairly long waiting list.
