I come from a very mainstream family and have recently found your videos. I have found your videos extremely inspiring and encouraging. This is the sort of path I would like my life to take. Although I'm a long way from being able to create my life like this (I am only 15) I would love to live somewhere in South America and grow my own food as you guys do.
you both are great examples of compassion and love of animals and the earth. i wonder though, do you guys miss the USA? I don't think Jay and I would miss it! :)
I love all your videos. You both have THE life. A beautiful outdoorsy home, tons of healthy food, a garden, puppies, and HORSES! My dream. Thanks for always lifting my spirits, as well as the pine pollen that I thoroughly enjoy... even though my boyfriend and my friends look at me crazy for taking it but I don't give a hoots. :) I'm so happy the new horses are adjusting well and filling out. Exciting news about the mare that's preggers, and the garden looks delicious.
I'm not jealous anymore, we just bought 20 acres of land in the rolling green hills of Kentucky, 1/2 cleared, 1/2 wooded. Wild berry plants every where, a spring, and fruit trees, so much room to grow a fabulous garden.
Calendula flower heads and petals are edible and good for mouth sores etc. They are slightly bitter, salty. I use calendula petals in my handmade soap, and you can make an infusion of the petals in oil which you can dab onto rashes or wounds. I like to take the infused oil and blend with beeswax to make an ointment which is good for burns or wounds/rashes. The horses look FANTASTIC!
Beautiful! The aloe plants made my eyes pop! Your garden is blessed. Do you have workers helping you with the weeding, mowing, watering, harvesting? You'd have to with that much.....
i think we had one goji berry as well here last year in the uk - more this year hopefully - dont think i got to taste it though - dried gojis from the health food shop are nice - we get yew berries here wild and in abundance - they tasted nice last year
Angela and Matt - thanks for showing your "gifts from our mother earth" of tomatos, goji berry, FIGS, corn, flax, chia, squash, kale, carrots, Aloe garden, mulberry garden and the list just goes on and on.THANK YOU BOTH FOR SHARING this part of your life. My favorite part is when you share your garden, beautiful horses and puppies with all of us.Also love to see what you are building onto your beautiful home and around it. You (and all of us)are truly blessed in many ways in all of our lives.
Watching your home grow is like watching the Garden of Eden come to life!! You truly do live in paradise . I am so inspired by the life you're living. Blessings to you and all of your household.
a great nature fertilizer is stinging nettle sewage - u just need to put stinging nettles in 5 liters of water, wait 1 or 2 weeks til it smells and it's useable :-)
So glad to see Angela wearing boots out in the garden. Very good. Accidents just seem to happen on a farm and the best thing for everyone and everything is to do preventative things like that. Good luck with those pups.
Wow, Awesome garden, and god bless you for what you did for those horses....love you both and love your videos...very much...very much!!!! David, in San Antonio, Texas
Thank you for the updates, very fun to see so much growth, love, communications, the puppies, horses, plants bearing fruit....almost like heaven on earth...truly dreams do come true...all that hard work...investigating where to settle down...researching so many things...all coming together beautifully....this is how love works on planet earth...love does happen ... thank you for showing us what this looks like....

Beautiful gardens!
I think if you prune your goji plant you'll get more berries. I'm pretty sure the leaves are edible too so it doesn't have to go to waste :)

Thank you so much for saving these lovey animals. I wish everyone were as kind hearted as the two of you.
As a sidenote Angela, your dress is gorgeous and very flattering.
