I love it! Here's the funny thing: my Pittsburgh friend sent this to me in Seattle, not knowing that I used to attend Open Door Church in Robbinsdale MN, where Dan was worship pastor. Small (but snowy) world.
My dad sent this to me, lol. I grew up in MN and it really is a beautiful state (with nice people) when it's NOT winter! I can't stand cold so I moved to San Diego, but now I'm in Missouri. I visit MN in the summer, but no way do I miss this snow!! Enjoy it Minnesoowwtans that love it :)

this was a great job...I an a minnesotian transplanted to western north dakota...we have had record snow falls this year and it still dont' compare...loved the roof shoveling shot. Haven't had to do that for a few years.

ohhh you tree huggers have a short memory. This weather stuff is cyclical. In the late '70s we had more snow than this for a few years in a row, and then less for a few and then again in the '80s we had a couple bad years, then nothing for a few and no OH MY, we have more again....who would have thought it!!!! The pictures I have seen of snow OVER the power lines back in the '40s.... must have been ALL those smog belching Model Ts (or maybe the Buffalo before their demise).
Dont any of you realize that there is a reason for the climate change resulting in the severe winter? Most scientists agree that man-made climate change is causing the cold and snow. We must reign in our attack on the environment. Mother Nature is telling us we must treat the Earth more kindly. You in the 4 wheel drive behemoths are not helping. Try some earth-friendly transportation, and quit belching out climate destroying carbon. Wait till you are sweltering this summer!

Ahhhhh, I am sitting on my patio in Arizona remembering all the snowy cold years in Minnesota. But, I have to add this. The people from Minnesota are the best!! A phrase was even coined just for them - "Minnesota Nice"!!
Imagine a place where your eyelashes freeze shut because your eyes are watering from the cold, as you cross country ski to school? Yep-- that's Minnesota. I left Minnesota and miss my family and friends but not the frigid cold...and that's not even taking into account the wind -- wind so strong you can't open your car door to get out!
I live in Dallas and have an understanding with all my Minnesota friends and family. I won't comment on their winter storms, if they don't ask me about the three months of oppressive 106 degree heat where you can't step outside without breaking into a sweat. Having lived about 12 years in Minnesota and now 12 years in Dallas, I'm not sure which climate is worse. There are pluses and minuses to both.

Ahhhhh, I am sitting on my patio in Arizona remembering all the snowy cold years in Minnesota. But, I have to add this. The people from Minnesota are the best!! A phrase was even coined just for them - "Minnesota Nice"!!

Imagine a place where your eyelashes freeze shut because your eyes are watering from the cold, as you cross country ski to school? Yep-- that's Minnesota. I left Minnesota and miss my family and friends but not the frigid cold...and that's not even taking into account the wind -- wind so strong you can't open your car door to get out!

I live in Dallas and have an understanding with all my Minnesota friends and family. I won't comment on their winter storms, if they don't ask me about the three months of oppressive 106 degree heat where you can't step outside without breaking into a sweat. Having lived about 12 years in Minnesota and now 12 years in Dallas, I'm not sure which climate is worse. There are pluses and minuses to both.

Winter is one of the seasons, a part of life. If I lived somewhere without a snowy winter every year, I'd feel like I'm getting cheated out of 25% of my life.
I love Minnesota. I'm glad I was born here and I'll likely never leave.

you couldn't pay me enough to live someplace without a great winter like we have! AFter living in Brisbane Australia for a year I have heat and sunshine constantly...I love our winters because they make me love our summers! Bring it on winter! I'm READY!

Oh yes, and Steve... I think the comment "keep your day job" was uncalled for. The song is clever, he sings it well, it's well produced, his voice is good, and the music just as good as hit songs I've heard on the radio. I, for one, hope he can do something with it.
