Wikipedia: "The film was heavily criticized for strong resemblance to a number of films, including Resident Evil, Doom, Phantom Force, Dragon Fighter, and Aliens."
First off, Wikipedia sucks, anybody can vandalise it. Second, I think we were talking about this particular gun scene, not the movie itself. I will not argue with you about Matrix and stuff (you seem to be a serious fan of it), but this one still beats many Holywood action scenes in my opinion.
Not a particular fan of the matrix, by the way, but was attempting an objective position based on my knowledge of the techniques that were introduced by that film. I would say that I am more a fan of Matrix by way of its historical analog than because of its special effects.
@SmokiSounds More believable than Equilibrium?! You really need to watch that movie again or get your eyes checked.
Take 2:26 as an example, where did you see that kind of ridiculous shit in Equilibrium? And these moments are all over the scene and the scene itself is so fucking streched out.
I say it would be a good scene in a comedy-parody movie of equilibrium and matrix, but when it stands alone it just looks pathetic.
@arhvash lmfao look at youuuu you troll! Ridiculous where? the timing is perfect and at 2:26 they're both tired as fuck, unlike equilibrium pretty dancing, breathing easily. He aims slowly as hell allowing the baldy to move before the shot. Stretched out yeah? Lmfao stick to transformers you idiot, the scene shows them going from fast to tired, beautifully executed. Now, shall we start naming all the ridiculous shit in Equilibrium with super flip-shots and other bullshit? Embarrassing.
@arhvash I think the most realistic/non-ridiculous part of Equilibrium is where Christian Bale walks down a hallway with 100 guys shooting at him and doesn't get hit because he does one flip. At least in this movie they're moving around and it's one on one.

Now, it may be way out of boundaries of reality, it was very fun to watch. Many times they could have killed eachother, as opczar mentioned, without extending their arms, just by bending their wrists. But it was fun anyway, almost better than the gun-kata in "equilibrium"
yeah agreed this fight coreography is absolutely 1st rate. It takes a lot of creativity to come up with such an elaborate fight. I mean, whose idea was it to have an all-out fistfight with live firearms? increidble!
Seriously though, if that was IRL they probably would've stopped after a minute and laughed at how cool they were. Like "Jesus, did you see what I just did? I totally dodged that bullet man."
0:17 Matrix :D

and LMFAO at idiot trolls thinking it's easy to shoot someone in the head, especially when they're spetsnaz-trained.

Trite and unoriginal. Sorry, but the matrix was ten years ago.

Pathetic opinion. Very original gun-kata action scene. More believable than Equilibrium and of course, more real than Matrix. Anything else?

@SmokiSounds Yea, you didn't really say anything. More real? More believable?

I think those ratings speak for themselves.

If you wish: 23 people thought it was "pretty cool." I guess there aren't too many searches for this movie. Must have been a flop.

pretty cool.. although its kind of stupid and exaggerating.. why do they keep aiming for the head when you could shoot at the body or the legs.. etc?

it wouldnt be interesting otherwise, they will die anyway .....in the end.

Yeah tbf, I wouldve done that.
Then they wouldve walked home like, "Yeah gimme a call when you wanna do that again"

If they stopped extending their arms so much and didn't wait for each other to load their pistols, they might get somewhere.
OpCzar 3 years ago
So I guess their guns are a mere extension of their arms, just like gun-kata eh?
