I read the quran and hadiths and I was horrified. The quran is full of hate and violence. I learned about abrogation and that the earlier, tolerant verses were abrogated...wiped out...by the later hateful verses.

What is Tabari? The Tarikh of al-Tabari is a history book, with true, and even fabricated/false statements.
Prove to me that what you're quoting is authentic. Otherwise i'll ignore it.
You quoted something without proving that it really occurred [authentically], so the duty is upon you to prove its authenticity. Otherwise it can be ignored until proven.

Tabari carefully indicates the chain of narrations, sometimes elaborating on the trustability of narrators. Narratives are carefully chosen for authenticity, most notably is the example of rejection of the same historical sources he already used for his historical works.
Can you prove to me the quran is authentic? That there is an allah?
