Hiya from New Orleans, I'm about to do a version of " Turn On The World " with my friends ... Dr. Hook ( Shel Silverstein ) is still awesome. Glad to hear someone else is keeping the music alive
I usually hate "covers" posted on youtube. Seems like everybody is desperate to be noticed & this site is inundated with people wanting to be noticed. I usually crap all over them, however this is a really good job, I don't know much about bass guitar but the vocal was very enjoyable. Good job, mate
It's off Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show's 1972 classic album "Sloppy Seconds". If you've never heard it you should most definitely check it out! One of my 5 CDs I would bring on a desert island fo sho! Thanx for the comment my fellow bass enthusiast!
thanks for the kind words! I'm workin on some more vids and have been workin on my singin a lot recently so hopefully I'll have some more stuff up soon for everyone to enjoy. Thanks for watchin!
Thanks my friend. It's one of my favs as well for sure. Took a lot of practice but I'm pretty pleased with how it came out. Anyways thanks for watchin and I'm glad you liked it!
Well thanks for being constructive! Didn't your mother ever tell you if you don't have anything nice to say then you shouldn't say anything at all? Your vid of this was way better...oh wait of course you don't have one so that's why you talk shit. I might not be the greatest (far from it actually) but at least I'm not an asshole. Get a life dude.
Thanks man. Yeah this is my fav song by them for sure. I love the whole Sloppy Seconds album in general but this is my fav tune off it. Anyways glad you liked my rendition and I appreciate the comment!
Glad you liked it...I finally got a webcam so I'm working on putting more vids of me playing on here. Thanks for the love and I'll keep trying to record vids of awesome songs like this.
Well thanks for the love...it's one of my favorite songs too. I play it in standard tuning. I'm not 100% sure that it's all correct but it sounds close so I went with it. Anyways glad you liked it...I'll try to keep em comin.
Love it!!!!
