I want to add: he doesn't need any lame "no talent" autotune. He plays guitar and sings almost an octave. He has more talent than all the pop princesses and corporate boys bands combined. Real musical talent...not electronically manufactured! He also does most of the vocals for "Rock star" the movie.

As a 37 y.o. this song brings back a ton of memories. Especially one little lady in particular. I will never love another era of music more than the 80's. It's amazing how many kids now days know all the words to most 80's songs. Proves that the youth is not as F' ed up as we thought.

Unfortunately, this album hit at a time when the likes of Nirvana and Metallica were pushing hair metal and power ballads out.
As a result, it didn't receive much attention at that time.
In my most humble opinion, music died around 1995 when Studios decided that force feeding us garbage was much better than good music.
Thankfully, nothing really dies, it just moves into a new area. Hair Meta; and the likes can still be found in the independent outlets.

Those 3 bands with their vocalist has one oI the greatest singing voice ever. In fact I kinda find they're better than their late 80's counterparts.
I coudn't hardly consider Skid Row a 90s band even though they release most of their in the 90's (2 albums), they had their debut album in 1989.

Layne Staley was a terrific frontman, But your talking about Oil and Water to totally diffrent Pitches what the F-ck does Layne have to do with Steelheart? Regardless I dont know if it's true or not but i heard Michael Matijevic Shatterd Glass at one of his Concerts His Pitch is one of the Higest in Musical History. He was also a Chick Magnet. Cool Song and A hell of a Frontman Never heard anyone else like him.
