Nice footage....this crater at 0:50 what diameter does it have? That way I will have an idea about what size the UFO will be when it will fly across the screen:)
I was wanting to do this very same thing, I would sugest using a gyroscopic stand for more stability with tennis balls on the feet for absorbtion and add a lil more weight to the stand as well ,it helps.

If you notice at around 7 o'clock on the ring of the crater there is like a tower structure there and you can see the shadow slightly different.
