It has everything to do with it! and as for the "Complexity" That is completely invented by the performing artist! It is improvisation, it is not written in the sheet music! Base line is it is an incredibly easy and simple piece to perform on ANYTHING, the composition is incredibly simple. I've primarily focused on jazz and classical theory. If you created an ALTERNATE rendition, made by a different performer with the same basic chord structure, yes, it could be unique and complex.

It's so incredibly simple, god... Any mediocre performer who has a menial grip on improvisation could easily create a complex solo. It's so fucking incredibly simple, so childishly easy, I have no other way to put it. AND even if you have a brilliant soloist, without altering the foundation of the song, the chordal progression confines you to such a boring pattern. No actual changes to say, different scales, no minor, no pentatonic, no chromatic, no whole tone... it's child's play.

It was conceived out of a much more noble concept, but it's easy as anything. It's a horrifically dull polyphonic piece, with no clearly distinct or distinguished importance other than historical. Spikeman is right. The final countdown, yeah on a kazoo that would be more difficult, but not drastically. The guitar riffs might be.

There is unfortunately no way for me to justify this statement, but trust me, this was a piss poor attempt. This was a menially achieved world record. And if you want a complex, rich and actually inherently good and difficult piece of music, go look at Frederic Chopin's Posthumous Valses, Go look at the Four Seasons. Go look at Mozart's pieces, look at Bach's Cello Prelude. Look at the raindrop prelude, of all things.
