Her name was Tarja Turunen and she was kicked out of the band in 2005. Check the google "Open letter to Tarja Turunen". The CURRENT singer is Anette Olzon and she is singing in this video. Got it?

@nemo27994 Japanese version of DPP. It's also available on the "Made In Hong Kong" live album, or you can buy it anywhere via digital download. It's a great song, but Tuomas just didn't feel like it fit with the rest of DPP, so it's not on most versions of the album.

@engrfka Have you listened to Phantom of the Opera(studio version) and Phantom of the Opera (End of an Era version)(both by Tarja ofc). Same thing goes for Ever dream or Dark Chest of Wonders. I honestly prefer the live version is sounds much better. That might be a crucial difference beween a good singer, and a karaoke singer.

I still Escapist though, and a few other from Dark Passion Play.

This song reminds me, except for Annette singing instead of Tarja, of Tuomas's earlier work, especially before Century Child. The guitar bit in the intro is a little similar to "She Is My Sin." I think they should have put this song in instead of "For the Heart I Once Had," which I don't like... but on the other hand the lyrics don't fit in with the maturity of the rest of the album, so I'm torn up about it. Great job with the video though! Nightwish rocks.

@OneCloudGrey You have to have a lot of respect for Anette, and I am sure the rest of the band does, too. She had to know a lot of fans were never going to accept her, just because she isn't Tarja. It takes a strong person to step into those kind of shoes and ignore the haters. I would like to see Tuomas and Tarja settle their differences and work together again, but not in Nightwish. Nightwish has a singer and she's pretty darn good, and the band is happy with her.
