@cmotiv Yes definitely, especially now that the high end has i5/i7 intel processors it would be more than powerful enough to run your most demanding applications.

The screen is also a plus seeing that the resolution 2560x1440 it's much greater than some of the current high res monitors out there.

the reason it takes so long is because even though their 30" Cinema Displays have more problems than other makes. Wierd colour issues and stuff.

They still decided to put a 27" display in.

Even though sizes like 24" that they used before worked perfectly well.

Apple loves to do what Apples can't do.

Macbook runs windows, without a real button to right click.

Its been a cold winter. Thankfully the imac 27" comes with a built in space heater at no extra charge. That sucker gets HOT. Unfortunately, if I don't have a big fan blowing on the back of it, the video gets buggy real fast and eventually freezes. If I don't use any video or watch youtube then it is no longer useful as a space heater to keep my office nice and warm.

Well like redz220 said, it depends on what you use it for. If you're a huge video editor or 3D designer, then 27 inches is great, but I use my 21.5 inch for just everyday use.

Depends on what you need it for. If u just use msn, surf around youtube, and type documents i would deffinetly go for an macbook pro. (Since for most stuff you do ittl be great) For those that need more performance. Such as Video Editors/3D modellers/Musicians etc. A Macbook Pro works. but not optimal. The newest Quad Core iMac is deffinetly alot better then the Macbook Pro. But most ppl around do not need such performance.

The Mac Pro is a slightly underdoing competator. but. keep in mind that the ''early 2010 Mac Pro'' wich i expect around end first quarter. Will be alot better then the current imac. but that will also be shown in what u pay for it. Rumors for the new mac: 6-core and dual 6 core processors. If i right now had to choose between Mac Pro or iMac go for iMac. If u REALY need performance. wait for the new pro. ;)
