@calvikingchick that is so true, I have a new favorite song almost daily. They made so many good songs, you can't choose. I'm so glad that although Michael left us.....He and INXS gave us such a wonderful gift. All the songs and live performances that we are able to watch anytime we want.
Amazing song by INXS. Probably one of their strongest songs. Amazing video! Live Baby Live. One of the best live concerts caught on film in my opinion. Too bad Hutchence is not still here...
lucky ones who were on this concert did an outstanding job, seeing you lot enjoying this concert lets me feel a bit of what i think you felt at the moment
Declaring an "all-time fave" INXS song is no easy task. They have a catalog of songs that rivals any band ever. Also, as far as front men go, MH is as good as ever was. It isn't about whether or not INXS is a band that you like, if you know music history, you respect their place in it. Way too many good songs for me to say this is my favorite INXS track, but somehow, I keep coming back to this one. It leaves a very big impression on me.
You are lucky ones,that you were there...I wasn't there...(maybe it's because I am 12,so I haven't been in the world... )..but I'd like to be there :(
Who would've thought that the lyrics "The nature of your tragedy is chained around your neck" would be his fate? Crying shame that one of the best bands in the world went out the way they did! INXS isn't INXS without Michaeal!! Great song with great meaning!!
I was lucky enough to be at Wembley. This song still makes me cry (at 38 I should know better).Have you all checked out the documentry about the gig? just search INXS Wembley
It is okay to cry at this memory of such a wonderful band. I am 41, and I still cry, and remember a time that was sooo pure, and innocent...just be glad that we all were there to experience it...we ALL were the lucky ones to be graced by such a spectaqular band that is INXS...:)
@lauraken You are so right. Our generation had unbelieveably talented artists. I am so glad to have lived in the 80's. I'm also a Tears for Fears fan. I saw them in concert this summer. I had seen them 20 years ago and the songs were as great now as then. Do you think we will be listening to Lady Gagme 20 years from now? Even rappers are going back to use our music as a backdrop for their junk.
It's a shame that the best band from the 80's went out like they did. Who would've thought that the lyrics" "The nature of your tragedy is chained around your neck" Would be Michael's demise? Wish I got to see them.
after following these guys around the pubs in the 70s there only 1 way for these guys to go,to the top were they still are the gigs at surfair hotel on the sunny coast were legendary, dam shame anyone missed wembley wow it must of been huge, michael thx for the amazing feelings you did and still provide us all we are all so lucky.
I just read Story to Story the autobiography of INXS and I know I read something about this song. I'll try to find it. If you are a fan you need to read it!
Michael was too awesome

This is my all-time favorite INXS song because the message is universal and timeless and they did it without being preachy.

I agree. They did tried to find an other singer for INXS, but like you said; Michael Hutchence never can be replaced by anyone.
