@spurtfather hahaha......... i know you've got plenty of thumbs up for that recognition.... I must go a step further and express my inner joy someone else saw that as clearly as I... so perfect..... "so when you comin' back to england?" ....... "never! dirty bastard"
Me no big Tom Jones fan but to his credit he is being very gallant to Francoise Hardy, trying to make her feel at home to a British audience. He was the host. What else does the most beautiful and talented woman in the world do when every man she meets wants her? Also, Tom Jones sang the main title song for the movie What's New Pussycat, in which FH played a miniscule and I believe uncredited part.
but now i remember, there is something else funny. some people don't realise the prowess tom jones had over the world of music at that time. he even rivaled elvis. in fact i believe it was the success tom had at vegas that influenced elvis to perform there. not that vegas is any mark on the music of the world and i think mainly stands for a symbol of gambling and excess. i don't know if francoise hardy ever joined tom on stage at vegas to perform a duet of what's new pussycat.
Why does he ask her when she's coming back to England and then state, "Well, we're in France now, anyway"? if this is a British audience? Did they import a British audience to France for this show or was he implying that her mere presence "transported" him to France?

Better fu&%in believe it a-hole! Fell in love with this goddess when I saw her in the "Tout Les Garcons" video bout 2 years ago. Never looked back since. XD!!!
must have played this song a thousand times on cd in truck stunning woman beautiful song have no idea what she is saying but enjoyable all the same many thanks for posting
This song is about a dying relationship. She tells her lover she leaves him, and his reaction. "Don't make thoses eyes to me, I know you already hold it against me"
she is a classical French well-educated beauty, funny to hear her sing about impossible loves and lonelinesss whereas she could easily get every man in the world...
Hahaha. Watch her take a big step backward as he charges up to her too close! Classic. His inability to gauge others' personal space would eventually serve him well in Las Vegas, but it's nice to see ONE woman(especially THIS woman) who wasn't impressed with his smarminess. And I thought I couldn't possibly have any more reasons for loving Francoise Hardy...
Everyone, STOP bashing Tom Jones. He's awesome.
