  • best thing about hinduism is it allows for atheism too.

  • @seasonedsevencolors Very true! The Charvakas (or something like that) were Atheists.

  • @TheLonePantheist Yes, not only Charvakas but some other sects like Samkhya, segments from Tantra are Atheist Hindus. Even Vedas recognize Atheist and Agnostic views without condemning them.

  • @TechTalker34

I understand mate theirs alot of hidden history that the world never brings up, like The English language is INDO-EUROPEAN because it was created from the sanskrits of india.. infact the whole of europe is indo-european!

I think them small secrets will always be kept under lock and key lol ahwell dont matter aslong as everyones aims high in life then this world will keep advanceing.

    have a nice week mate

  • @TechTalker34 their is no accient hindu script on this planet or holy book which is 6,000 years old that say anything about any person not being able to convert to hinduism, the reason why you dont see the word Convert is because their was no such word in the times of hinduism.

You are already a hindu in my eyes even if you label your faith under another term lol you still have the idea of god and thats all we care about even though god to us means creation and salvation of the soul

  • Hinduism does not believe in color or creed. Hindus goals are four things Dharm(right was of living in society), Earth (money), Kam(pleasure) and Mokchh (salvation).

  • If you look at Medieval and early modern Europe religions and Slavic religions both feature Swastikas etc.

although i do think Hinduism is a cross of Aryan Religious ideas and Jainisms etc ideas .

  • none of you guys have a clue about hinduism, hare krishna

  • Hindu dharma is the mother of all religions in the world.

We beleive in one god-the parmeshvar. however,

we worship the three principal manifestations of god:

We beleive in one god-the parmeshvar. however, we worship the three principal manifestations of god: BRAHMA-RACHAYITA(GENERATOR)

    VISHNU-PALANKARTA(OPERATOR)

    MAHESH-SANGHARAK(DESTROYER)

The letter of the word god can thus be taken

to remind us of the three.

  • anyone else in toronto see this guy on the news this week?

  • I can see just two whores, insulting someone´s believe :P ONE MESSAGE! WHITE MAN CAN BE FOLLOWER OF SANATANA DHARMA! NON-NATIONALIST INDIANS WILL SUPPORT YOU IN YOUR BELIEVE IF IT IS TRUE. OPINIONS DIFFER ABOUT "VARNA", BUT IT STILL DOES NOT DENIES WHITE MAN TO TRY TO GET CLOSER TO MOKSHA, DURING HIS LIFE. "HINDUISM" HAS MORE TO DO WITH INDO-EUROPEAN BELIEVES AND ROOTS, THAN CHRISTIANITY. THOSE WHO ARE INTERESTED AND STUDY(COMPARATIVE MYTHOLOGY, COMPARATIVE LINGUSTICS), THOSE KNOW.

  • BEST THING ABOUT HINDUISM: NO PIPEDREAM OF WORLD DOMINATION! THANK GOD!

  • Aryan invasion has been debunked by harvard university and the BBC

  • Facinating, Toby. Thanks for posting this. I know you could have gone on longer. Another video, perhaps ? : )

  • @telecalcu No thats not quite how it works. The idea of 'Aryan' comes from british colonialists.

  • @Galadraal Of course Brahmins are Aryans..........Sanskrit is an Indo-European language.

  • @Galadraal Good video, but Dalits are not a race. The caste system is more so like French's Estate system (Clergy, Noblemen, Commoner/peasent. etc.) LOL, I go to College and work part time at Walmart too, and have a liking toward hinduism. Good luck! :)

  • @telecalcu The Indian people are Aryan. not all of them are white however. About 20-25% of India's population is dravidian, who are very dark skinned. About 70% is Indo-Aryan and range from very light skinned to somewhat brown. The rest is mostly immigrants and East Asians. Theres whites in every caste.

  • @telecalcu

if you watch the recent program on bbc website about DNA they show that there was two waves into India the second wave are those of the north Indians who are genetically related to Europeans and it is thought that some of them landed in India others went on to Europe these are the people who brought with them a large chunk the religion of the Rig Veda.

this annoys a lot of Indians but no one OWNS Hinduism and Brahmins are supposed to be determined by Karma not birth.

  • @telecalcu No, Caste system has nothing to do with color. lol. And Aryan comes from Arya meaning enlightened or spiritual. There are Brahmins in North and South India. And ISKCON is not a part of Hinduism. We westerners like to view the Dalits as a Race because it FITS within our culture (slavery etc.)

  • Hinduism is a very tolerant religion and believes there are many paths to god- so it doesnt have any superiority ideas over concepts etc like other religions- HInduism is very diverse, a nepali hindu 2 kashmiri hindu-2 punjabi hindu 2 tamil hindu- 4 of my best friends, all of same religion but they way they practice it completely different

  • good video, honestly why does it matter whether u were born into a religion, race, sexuality (whatever), or became part of it. If u dont feel comfy in ur current situation and u can change it to something u do really believe in or feel passionate about then why not? u only get one life (or do u???) Freedom of choice! Wooo :P I mean I can see the point of the nuances of a culture, the stereotypes that being born into a certain group cause. But I feel like the world will be all mixed kids soon!

  • I don't think it has to do with you being a white person, in reference to you not being able to understand all the nuances of Hindu culture (I doubt any one person actually does).

I think it has more to do with the fact that you were not raised in India.

As a Hindu who grew up in Europe, even I don't understand a lot of things (and don't care to).

That said, Hindu culture is diverse, so even Hindus from one part of India may be clueless about the nuances of others.

  • Are you vegetarian?

  • @komokujin No.

  • As an Indian person I think non Indian people having an interest in Hinduism is great. God accepts worship in any form as long as we are sincere; so I don't believe it is necessary to "convert". However, if "converting" makes someone feel better, more power to them. You are a great example of a convert imo. I was watching some of your other videos and you totally knew some stuff I didn't lol. :)

  • @jthomasIII ...USA ... Latin ... Europe .... Russia ... Is full of Hare krishna followers .... So peacefull ....& even there is no restriction of religion ... Amazing
