@OubaasStudios The problem is they rented them out under the same name. Even though it said it was sweded, it wouldn't have been illegal if they had called it "Ghost-catchers" or "Ghost-police" or something like that. Things like this happen in TV shows when they want to make an obvious reference to something without taking a trade-mark name (i.e. instead of wal-mart, big box mart)

Yeah, I remember the rules of borrowing videotapes back in the days, and it annoyed me, that they had put on a 1 dollar fine, for each time you forgot to rewind the tape. Also, the alphabetic list is better put pr. distributor if you ask me. But the idea of jack's character was crazy though, making him almost magnetic because of the high, powerful and static voltage...going through his body,

Tottaly agree with everything you said. And people behind me in the theatre were cracking up... The IDEA for this movie was good when you actually think about it, but it really was HORRIBLY executed, made you cringe at how Un-Funny and pretentious the whole thing was.. It was exactly what you said - A "sweded" (that term is really annoying btw) version of a good movie.

Jack Black's Character gets magnetized, and erases all the tapes at the video rental store he works at called be kind rewind, which was going bankrupt. so he and his co-worker filmed their own version of ghostbusters, gave it to the customer and called it sweded. pretty soon they started making a whole bunch of "sweded" videos and business was booming. then the fbi show up and destroy all their tapes for copyright infringement... and so on.
