There's so much more artistic merit in those songs than there is is their singles and most of their album tracks!

Totally correct, you can also say that the b-sides are better than the songs on the albums. "Staying fat" and "Skeleton" are bloody strong. Gordon sings in "Staying fat", magnificent song!
