  • fack my laki chevetti!!!

  • thats awsome, wish I grew up in the 70's!

  • Both Cars are a Win! Abslutely stunning and miles of fun!

  • Oldsmobile blew his doors off

  • gee the olds won, not surprised

  • the rocket 350 was one of the best gm engines out there,I had a 70 cutlass with a rocket 350 (258,0792) miles on it when I pulled past an iroc z camaro,I must say this rocket v8 rocks,I dont know why in the hell gm pulled the plug on olds when it was so wonderful.

  • anyone else notic both cars shifted at nearly the exact same times?

  • thumbs up to the guy for taking his hat off halfway down the track before the wind got it

  • And yet again this is a great idea racing on a bridge .. dumb ass's . Lose a tire or snap an axel and youer off the side and dead .. Im betting none of these cars have C-clip elminators just wait till someone breaks and axel

  • @Pharaohsmn If it's an Olds rear-end, it doesn't need C clip eliminators. The factory had a better setup. But you are right, a bridge wouldn't be my choice for a street race.

  • Small VS Big, (69 convert 383 Stroker) - (70 Olds 468) In Street it All depends on set up for traction/ Big Power No traction Worthless.......

As you can see 68 Camero Convert W/406 Didn't do the job, even when he put on slicks....

    My4428U

  • @My4428U But we all know that when your bottle is empty, you are done while everyone else keeps on racing! The true proving ground is a drag strip where there is no traction issues. Thats where I prefer to race.

  • @My4428U Because slicks aren't meant for street, they are meant for a drag-strip.

  • thats why when i found out my 350 rocket had a hole in the cylinder i junked it bought a 72 454 had it bored and getting rdy to stick her in

  • my mom used to have a chevelle

  • hack

  • 442 always wins in that initial takeoff but if you give it time that chevelle would've taken up that slack

  • nothing like a 442 to bad 90% of the world don't know what 442 stands for and im gonna say it 4 barrel 4 speed dual exhaust that's Ur 442

  • @samllblockboy it actually meant different things for different years, Olds changed or revised the meaning atleast twice. One meaning it had the big block 455, 4 spd, and duals

  • @haigisnick 4 barrel, 4 speed, (2) dual exhaust

  • That olds whooped on that chevy!

  • Olds y'all know lol...

  • Like that Olds

  • i had a car like this but then i woke up

  • is that in tennissee?

  • Where did you tape this? Although I'm an Olds guy, like both cars.

  • that looks fun

  • Big block or small block doesnt matter a bit. Its all in how efficient it runs.

  • Such a beautiful sound......but big block vs. small block....? What's the competition? Lol

  • @prttygurl13 ive seen some small blocks run circles around big blocks. Theres always compitition

  • @Catalina65389 , put the same quality parts in the big block ...and drop that 455 rocket (or 350 rocket) in a car with the same weight as those small block cars yer talking about , and the small blocks will get fucking smoked. 442's (after 1970) were heavy as fuck , can't expect them to beat lighter cars with comparable parts lol.

  • Oldsmo baby

  • Big bock/ Small block I personally don't care, its all good inmy book.Old Skool muscle baby!!!

  • shoulda had a big block V8 lol couldnt resist

  • sweet

  • Damn that small block must be screaming because that 442 was barely ahead, that's kind of embarrassing

  • That looks like fun.. The cutty left .. Wow

  • Wow.. I don't care who won.. beautiful cars.

  • @upyersbuddy is that in colorado at dillion lake?

  • My opinion doesn't really matter, but I like the 1969 Olds 442 body style better than any other year. I don't particularly like the 69 Chevelle nearly as much as the 1970.

I would love to have this 442 convertible.

  • Both cars are American Legends!

  • two very cool cars...although I love the chevelle, only with a hard top and hot paint.....I'd rather have the Olds convert with the 442-absolutely classic

  • GM WINS!!! all around,, id ERY HAPPY with either car

  • Both are very sexy

  • sounds like they feathered it off the line

  • notice how emzarino didnt answer anyone back on what kind of car he has! hahaha

  • hey where was this filmed looks familier

  • @muellerj93 That's what I was wondering, too. I have been there before but not sure where it is.

  • small block can still do some damage towards a big block, but not bad

  • hey i subscribed to you. youre the only guy that seems to uploading races like these and i like them thanks

  • The 1970 442 with the Hurst Automatic was actually faster 0-60 than the 4 speed manual according the Motor Trend back in 1970. At that time I was one of the few cars where the automatic was actually faster than the manual gearing.

  • Lol.. Nice! Love the sound of those good ole' American V8 engines! ;-)

  • I know, lets race on a bridge!

    Great idea!

  • @SteveHandlebar If you ever go to a track the 1st 100 ft or so is concrete. It hooks better than black top,so this a great place to race.

  • @MidnightinSavannah I was thinking..."Gee, what if the back end breaks loose?"

If they were worried about traction they should go to the track...

  • Big block v.s. small block? Not much of a contest don't you think? I mean, "no replacement for displacement". Big Block FTW.

  • @arachknight1979 I have a small block in my camaro and I don't have any trouble with the big block 442. When he hits his 150 shot, thats different. I will get a chance to run my camaro against the 442 next month at a 1/8 mile track. He said I have to use street tires against him.

  • @upyersbuddy Awesome. If you get video of it definitely post it. I'd love to see it no matter who wins or loses. Now on your Camaro there is power to weight to consider. My comment was based on the size weight similarity between the Chevelle and 442.

  • @arachknight1979 small blocks spin up faster, BB's typically are loaded with torque....A contest it was indeed

  • @arachknight1979

my replacement for displacement is called BOOST

  • @arachknight1979 I respectfully disagree a stock 455 vs a 383 id say 383 by a bit... RPM can be a bitch in some big blocks.. But the 468 im guessing is a stroker also? If im correct then that's all the difference.

  • 2 sweet ass Muscle Cars, love em both but the 442 is my favorite, cool to see these two classic beasts going at it, awesome,;)

  • i had a 69 chevelle w/ 307 i should never have sold,

and had a chance today to buy a '70 442 in good cond. for 3200 bucks.

both are great cars ,miss my 69 chevelle but just might go for the 442.

  • @emzarino You are the one running your loud mouth. Maybe you would like a chance to show us a thing or two? Or are you the real pussy?

  • @emzarino i agree with upyersbuddy. what do you have? or do you just like to talk shit.

  • @emzarino a gutless wonder will destroy any piece of shit you drive

  • @emzarino gutless wonder hahahaha o my god kid what the hell drugs do you do? gimme some of them world altering hallucinagins. fuck i wish i was as stupid as you man. then kids with big mouths spewin stupid shit wouldnt bother me so damn much

  • @emzarino IF THIS FUCK REALLY HAD ANY HAIR ON HIS NUTS HE WOULD COME TO THE RACE AND SAY THESE THINGS IN PERSON. BUT HE WONT CAUSE HES JUST A BIG FAT OLD FLOPPY PUSSY LIKE HIS BITCH MOTHER.

  • Comment removed

  • @emzarino What do you drive? an mini van that your mom owns?

  • @upyersbuddy exactly this guys a tool, i bet your civic will keep up wont it emzarino... got one of those mufflers that push 1000 horsepower

  • @emzarino

    bring it bitch.........

  • @bigjp455 jerry i doubt most cars on here will out run you.

  • If thats what 442 means explain how i had a 68 convertible 442 with a 3 speed auto tranny.

  • it wasnt a true 442

  • Oh boy, a utube mensa is attit again...

Tell Olds whats a true 442, they were the ones who owned the handle Dipstick.

  • after a while olds used the 442 for another model.

but a true 442 is 4 barrel, 4 speed, dual exhaust

  • 442 stands for 4 on the floor 4 barrel carbuertion and 2 exhaust pipes. however it was possible to get the 3 speed turbo hydramatic. which for those of us who don't know our gm trannys is a 3 speed automatic

  • 442 means ...4 barrel carb/ 4 speed tran/2 dual exhaust...not motor size..dumb asses

  • very cool race, both conv. nice video with bridge

  • All i have is the 350 rocket in a 72 cutlass. Me want 442. lol sounds amazing

  • hell yeah 442 ftw

  • 442 sweet

  • Beautiful.. Just beautiful. God Bless America!

  • Racing on a bridge?

Time to nut up or shut up

    XD

  • lol pretty much, hope you dont blow a tire lol

  • Nice! Two A-bodies!

  • Wow ..I wouldnt feel comfortable racing across a bridge...too many factors in doing that..

  • this is so awesome. I never see old cars like this race. Their always either driving 45 mph or on the back of a trailer. Although I did get a 70 something Chevelle to punch it a little on the highway.

  • what a great race nice to see real muscle cars race. great scenery
