Saw these guys at Winterland (SF) in '76. They had an unusal (at the time) stage setup with the drummer stage level (most are on platforms) on the right side of the stage with the Paris logo neon sign in the bass drum. Very cool. Loud and proud. Well received by the Winterland croud, half of which had probably never even heard of them! Thanks for the upload hfeild07! Suprised to find this here! Rock on.....
I saw Paris do this live at the Long beach Arena (SoCal) many many years ago. Live this song pounded. Almost could have received Metal of the Year award. I could never figure out why they never produced the album as heavy.
i actually saw Paris in concert in '76 with the Sales brothers...in Lubbock, Tx of all places...ran into them at the local hip record store (they must have been bored out of their gourds...u talk about out of place)...they looked like road-weary rockers of course...just an interesting slice of moment.
I've loved this album for over 30 years and only recently found out it was one of Christian Rock's first endeavors....not that there is anything wrong with that, just never put it together....
Not sure how this is grunge. These guys were a mishash of glam, psychadelic blues rock, and metal, i.e., songs about chicks and high-living. Pretty much the most opposite of "grunge" you can get. fyi, best song: Nazarene. Killer hook.
I always koved this band!.....I actually saw then @ a lakeside bar (called, I believe: The Outside Inn...Angola NY) late seventies) Before they released the 2nd and last LP called big Towne 2061. If ANYONE... and I do mean ABSOLUTELY ANYONE/EVERYONE HAS SOME LIVE CONCECRT FOOTAGE: PUHLEEEEEZE POST!!!!! thanx: gary z buffalo ny
I saw them in Lubbock,Tx in 1976...unreal. They were heavy looking Brits in the cotton field. Bought the LP of course...way ahead man. You need to post Religion.
Listen to Thom Mooney's snare triplets that sound like Corky Laing of Mountain (his signature lick in my book).
Great album and song! I really enjoyed the song 'Starcage' as well, which follows this on the LP. I still own a very nice UK pressing, and a Canadian one. The lineup on this one was cool too...Bob Welch (guitar vocals), Glenn Cornick...ex Jethro Tull(bass), Thom Mooney...ex Nazz, a band that featured a young Todd Rundgren(drums). Their follow up LP 'Big Towne 2061 was cool too, and featured Hunt Sales (drums) ex Todd Rundgren band.
Glenn Cornick sure got around...he was also great in Wild Turkey, and even spent some time in Germany playing with the Krautrock band 'Karthago' during the mid 70's.
Surprisingly good. I've read about this band in Bob Welch interviews, but never heard a note until now. I'm really impressed. I understand now why he went in this direction. It's too bad this band never caught on.
I fuckin look this up on youtube and think to myself now I couldnt fing it on here for months and I look again and I look who posted, haha thats friggin awesome brotha scott from brotha bill Hfield is the COOLEST PERSON EVER and we need to shoot some POOL

I agree and have this LP,one of masterpieces,Zeppelin_like.
nhito 3 years ago 2
zeppelinよりも余計なぜいにくをそぎ落として、洗練させた感じ。特にvocalがさっぱりしていていい。robert plantはgoodtimes badtimes
は地声でいいのだが、communication breakdownになるとのどに力が入りすぎて、聞いているのがつらい。ドラムはjohn bonhamのほうが上だけれどもthom mooney
も的をおさえていてわるくはない。
