I own a BUELL and initially tried to treat it like a dirt bike; however, they do not operate that way. EVEN so, this is a great bike to STAND right up on the seat, LAY DOWN on, and RIDE with ARMS WIDE OPEN!!!! I did my time on this bike and I am KEEPING my BUELL, it has many flaws and I have had better, parts are a bitch to get, but yes, I RIDE A BUELL!!!!!!!!!! It is a fun bike to play on...
NICE WHEELIE, DID YOU GRAB THE BACK PEGS ON THAT?????
What gear are you in when you did that and what RPMs, im just getting use to my wheelies on my buell but i can only get it up in first and second gear.
I just sold my speed triple, which was the wheelie machin, just bought a xb12r, pick it up tomorrow, hopefully it can wheelie like th etriumph, but im not sure it'll have the power of the triple! here;s hopin!
Dooooooooood...SKIN GRAPHS!!! SKIN PEELED FROM YOUR HIP OR ASS THEN LAYED IN THIN STRIPS ON YOUR BACK!!!!!... Get A Leather riding jacket Bro...DAMN!.. Did I mention FUCKLOADS OF PAIN!!!!...Just Sayin'
Im in IL too dude! Buell Firebolts are my favorite. I totaled mine but am in search of a new one in the spring... Probably an 09 XB12r Firebolt. Get a good deal on a floor model bike :)
hey, what gear was that pulled? ive got an xb9 with the "race kit" and i have no problem with 1st, 2nd, 3rd gear wheelies, but i need a little help with the highspeed deals. any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated since i'm a rookie. love the vid though. let 'em hate, keep up the good work
@pekinblah power wheelies in 5th gear?? really. I know they have a lot of torque but idk about that. im thinking about buying one of these. whats the fastest you've had it?
@mixsignal91 I have a highly modified 2003 xb9s and even then your gonna top out at about 140mph but trust me man you wont want to go that fast on a lightning. For one they have no fairings for aerodynamics and two the short wheel base will make you extremely unstable at high speed. Ive done it once and that enough for me. idk just some friendly advice
If your used to wheelies on a chain driven bike then probably not. it took me a while to get used to the no play in the belt drive. i also broke 2 belts at 150 a belt it wasnt cheap. But with all the torque this bike had it was easy to get the front wheel up
Why the hell would i use the clutch while doing a stand up wheelie? it has enough power to come up with out the clutch. Post your "longer" buell wheelie so you can school me,then feel free to comment all you want.
Its a Buell!!! holy shit did i say it was fast? Your not mental and think xb9's are? Clutching is powering. Dont tell me you snap the clutch to weeze the little 600 up in third? did this buells motor go over 1.5k from the beginning of the wheelie?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Little 600? LMAO. My best friend rides a bike identical to yours. He gets TOASTED, SMOKED LIKE A BONG every time we race. And not just by a little bit, by a few seconds. hahaha take a look at my "08 CBR 600RR wheelie" video. When you can beat that, then we'll have a chat.
clutching is not powering either. where the hell did you come up with that?
please read the this quote from a previous statement about 5-6 times till you get it. "its a buell!!! holy shit did i say it was fast?". then slap yourself for being ignorant. clutching is revving the engine powering up the the bike into a wheelie. doing so keeps excelaration into a wheelie at a minimum. used mostly when a bike has little torque or doing a slow speed wheelie. thats where i came up with that
Man, you are right but at the same time wrong. I'm not going to give you any more shit though. From your R1 video, looks like you got BP down. Whether I agree with the method of getting there or not.
The only reason I talk against power ups is because I've been there, done that. For a long time actually. After learning to clutch it up, I will never go back to powering up although my bike has plenty of power to do it if I want to. Just give it a try sometime, man! I bet you'll find it better.
Did i ever tell you i want to buy a pit bike for my nephew? He's almost 6! OK for serious I will post a vid of my new bike for you to criticize, since I have no fun on two wheels and criticize other fanatics for doing so
how much throw on the clutch would u say u used to get it up at that speed?

Littlek51291 3 years ago
I wish I could go crazy. Thats just a little wheelie.
rossor6ridr 3 years ago
well keep up the good work, but wear some pro before you do, for your own sake
Littlek51291 3 years ago
okay, I have to admit, that was funny. Good luck with your power wheelies..... Be careful

I had these sudden responses on my youtube.... NICE.
I won't post videos that mean a shit just to prove a point. If the words don't mean shit why do you keep responding?

not that long, and using the clutch is safer.

power wheelies are bad. USE THE CLUTCH!
My 08 CBR has more than enough power to smoke your Buell and it will power up in third. I use the clutch in second gear every time.
Try it. You'll see the difference. You'll be able to get it to BP much lower in the RPMs and hold a steadier wheelie.

I don't know why everyone is giving you thumbs down. You're completely right. Clutch is the way to go and that wheelie was NOT that long.
