This is a fitting analogy for the Media execs pushing forward and trotting behind their “boys” making them rich/famous as they totally destroy their own people. Most of these hip hop “entertainers” are no better than animals dragging down their own people.
. I remember back in 77 I was 12 years old and looking at roots when it 1st aired. The scene that really shocked me emotionally was when Kunta Kinte was captured in the jungle. I wanted to reach into the TV and kill these bastards & if emotions could kill they would’ve fell over in the TV set.
. Please save your pseudo-psychobabble, this is what occurred and most of us here have lived long enough to witness it first-hand…hell it’s still going on now! You can see from some of the deluded posts here that actually support this garbage how much this has damaged our people. Let’s put education & family 1st, let’s put positive black professionals on a pedestal and open the window for them to inspire our children.
Many black men will go to prison, over 70% of our children are born into illegitimacy & our high school graduation rate has plummeted in the last 20 years. These are very obvious shifts in African American culture that have occurred in my lifetime, most of which was spurred by the trash that has permeated the media and our minds in the form of “entertainment” from these sellouts that have been elevated to celebrity status.
These sellouts that’d probably make minstrel show traitors blush with shame are the very worst and are a huge part of the problem. Our woman are dehumanized and viewed as “bitches/ho’s” and commonly refer to themselves this way. When I was a child and a girl was called a bitch or a ho there was about to be a fight, now many of our females proudly proclaim themselves bitches/ho’s. "The leftists will reply that the last thing they want is to make the black man into a copy of the white man; instead, they want to preserve African American culture. But in what does this preservation of African American culture consist? It can hardly consist in anything more than eating black-style food, listening to black-style music, wearing black-style clothing and going to a black-style church or mosque. In other words, it can express itself only in superficial matters."
I appreciate your comment and I will definitely use your quote within my film. However, I would love to know how you derived at the conclusion that "the negro" is a hypersexual sub-human species. You sound like one of those German Eugenic scientist. So which idealism do you subscribe to...Alfred Ploetz or Benjamin Rush?
This is a powerful video. Sad that sex is everywhere instead of just being in the bedroom. Change needs to come, I'm making sure my future kids have their mind right (it all begins at home)
It's sad when the truth hurts. A lot of our people can't tell you anything about black history other than what is kept in the mainstream. The young do not identify with what black culture is. They have blindly accepted hip hop as there culture. Hip hop has changed the community and the artist don't want to do anything about it. It's a dog eat dog world. Get paid at everyone else expense. History repeats itself. We are enslaving and painting future to come.
hold up you click in here to see the video then say some african american have bad values that fuuny most of adult culture is white that like saying in pop culture flava of love is worst than rock of luv people do like to point their fingers at black people there alway be people who deviant no matter what race they are as their people with values when i was in high school they band everthing urban but felt punk is ok they told me you can't get a job like that you can't a job punk either
As I conclude the entire story of Mindbootyandsoul, I have noticed how black people in America have become a shadow of a much larger cultural problem while simultaneously having to bare the burden of guilt in American values. All Values inside this video are American values. This video may exaggerate these behaviors but these are clearly issues deep rooted within American culture. So the term "these people" is not really appropriate when describing the sexual materialist behaviors.
With all due respect, I don't know a single white, Arab, Jewish or Asian American who is that laden with jewelry, including gold teeth, who flash money like they just won the lottery, or dance in the street like at 2:48. To be fair, most black Americans don't behave like that either. It's a subculture of a certain demographic. And it is a pitiful reminder of why certain citizens aren't doing to well. I do not mean all African Americans when I say "these people".
These are generational symptoms of class. This "Generation Me" is a derivative of our parents who wanted to make a better life for their kids. They gave them everything except their work ethics. The flossin & flashing are attempts by an oppressed culture to live and experience the life of wealth. But wealthy people don't floss, they steal:Saving and Loan scandal, Corporate Fraud, Junk Bonds, and Predatory Lending. Oh and then they get our government to bail them out: Bears Sterns.
You mean, nobody has ever gotten rich from high intelligence and hard work? I know a lot of wealthy people, and none of them have gotten where they are by breaking the law or because of who their parents were. You're the one who is stereotyping.
No I'm making a reference to the negative expressions oppress people have with money and the negative expression wealthy people have with money. Not all people from a subculture or certain demographic that are rich and/or wealthy floss. Similarly not all wealthy people steal. My point is that the negative is express differently depending on your class status. Example: a Pimp mentality on the streets exploits women while a pimp mentality in corporate America exploits the consumers.
everyone click on his name he said these people have terrible values see if his is values are better, girls gone wild but i don't mean all white americans you are stupid russellziske for making comments
These is not representative of all of black culture you idiot, this is a small sect of it, learn black history-than you will know how vast our culture is.
Our culture is extremely vast but look at where we are now. Since Crack Cocaine was introduced into our neighborhood over 25 years ago, the strength of our communities has diminished. For example I don't mean to put anyone on blast but the person below ask the following: "consume what"
I just want to say I am definitely proud to be Black. What does a video(s) have to do with how one feel or cherish themselves or their culture. Does the kkk make you proud to be white?
You're right. That argument could be applied to other industries as well. Like the tobacco industry. This industry sells products that kill 100's of thousands a year and the FDA won't ban the product because tobacco lobbyists finance the FDA. The only thing is that in Hip-Hop, there is no federal agency that is charged with overseeing the industry. And Hip-Hop isn't 100 percent criminal and socially detrimental. There are some good aspects of it as well.
As aSouthern Rapper im sick & tired of everyone blaming the south 4 the fall of hip hop & black culture. The south refelts the culture we grow up in if you want the music 2 change come 2 the streets of N.C. , S.C. , GA , FL & other southern States & Change the hood , change the poverty ,Change the pain & then maybe southern music will change & if u dont like it dont buy it but untill then we gettin it N.C. Stand Up Chea Luv Tha Dirty South Untill The Day I Die
It is obvious. But Rap music and culture are such money makers that expecting any changes to be made with regards to it's promotion of promiscuity and criminality becomes an exercise in futility. So it comes down self discipline. Cats need to use condoms more not try and stop trying to f*ck everything female. Holla back.
The bottom line is that Hip-Hop is the biggest selling genre of music of all times. And it just moved down south. It's finally our turn. Of course New York and other northeastern cats are gonna have a problem with us, because they're not movin' as many units as they used to. Chuuch.
WOW I love these biased ass videos. its was NEW YORK and PUFF DADDY who started the modern commercialism of HIP HOP/RAP MUSIC not the south. Also. I dont see a bunch of SCHOLARS walking about the bricks of places like Newark,NY,CLEVELAND,DETROIT,COMPTON,GARY,BROOKLYN.
Its ignorant niggas. Everywhere you have poverty. Not just SOUTHERN ghettos.
7 out of the top 10 cities for blacks to move to an prosper in are southern cities. the top 3 are Atlanta, Houston, and Dallas.
what im trying to figure out is why da fuck they are just talking about the south truth be told west coast and east coast just as worst so dont pick us out cause the south shinning and everybody's hating
This really makes the South look bad. The is about more than what they showed. They showed nothing positive. Ludacris makes songs about social issues to. Show both sides of the Southern music not just the booty shaking. Stop leaving stupid and racist comments. God bless.
It is defenitly something to think about. If King or X were alive today they would be pissed! It would be like that episode of the boondocks. "IS THIS IT!? IS THIS WHAT I GOT ALL THOSE ASS WUPPINGS FOR?!!" The question now is how do we change things.....
It is something to think about. ME I don't look what the rappers down south is doing I look at the positive seeing a lot of blacks owning businesses and owning their own homes I look at that in the south and I'm happy to see that. As far as rap in the south goes It's some positive cats like Outkast, Blak Hart, The Ab's This cat from Jacksonville Fl name Lost Son is positive also.
I wonder how God feels when He looks down at His people and sees such nastiness. satan looks up at Him and smiles. And the Black man just keeps on living in his/her assinine-ness.
I think all blacks need to go back to Africa for just one year, they be swiming back quick to get back to America, yall think yall have it bad here, and wear your African clothes, flags, but yall not real Africans, just black yall cant handle live in Africa no Caddys, gold chains , ice grills rap music, pork chops, over there our people eat garbage and monkey meat just poor people who wish they lived here so chill out my black brothers and sister love the white man for bringing our people here
do you realy think you sound like a black person? your nothing but an redneck hillbilly who's parents Im sure are cousins. WTF....PORKCHOPS...ICE GRILLS.....MONKEYMEAT? YOU HAVE BEEN FLAGGED FOR BEING THE DUMBEST MOTHERFUCKER ON YOUTUBE.
It's like smoking. As long as there's money in it or the suppositive cool exterior you can gain from it people are not gonna give it up. Nowadays you got stupid white girls doing it even on you tube. Now it's not even for freedom or self expression any more.
This is a fitting analogy for the Media execs pushing forward and trotting behind their “boys” making them rich/famous as they totally destroy their own people. Most of these hip hop “entertainers” are no better than animals dragging down their own people.
